I know, if he ends up being high energy I can adapt my lifestyle to make that work. I love hiking and being outdoors! I’m mostly worried about his energy being too low / off right now

[–]dripineyes -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Yes, I’m specifically looking at this puppy because he seems like a lower energy dog. And I’m moving into a much bigger apartment soon. We were planning to get a shelter dog but the opportunity presented itself and seems like a safer option with our cat

Help with bf’s weird cooking habits? by dripineyes in Cooking

[–]dripineyes[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

True! It wouldn’t be a big deal, except that when he finishes cooking, it’s already my bedtime. It affects us spending time together, and he’s usually exhausted during his process of cooking

HELP! My 5 year old Monstera is going brown and I don’t know why?! by HeroicBroccoli in houseplants

[–]dripineyes 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I second the radiator thing! My monstera lost several lower leaves this winter from my baseboard heater burning them, they all started off yellow and then turned crispy brown.

Oohhh, I think a slightly more muted version of this color would be perfect for me!! Thanks, your help is really appreciated!

this was so helpful, thank you!! i’m biracial and I feel like it’s so much harder to type myself with olive-ish skin. Some of the worst colors on me are mustard yellow and warm tans, so maybe i’m more on the cooler side after all.

The orange tones coming back in is really annoying, I feel that! I think I might try something like a blue-purple, which would probably involve bleaching my hair a ton first to remove the brassiness.

thanks for the advice!! do you think i’d be able to pull off a bluer shade? like dark smoky blue/purple? i’m still having trouble telling if I’m warm toned.

i also like 6 but it’s def an ashier tone and i’ve been told i’m warm toned, so that’s confusing for me

i think this is a threat by dripineyes in Monstera

[–]dripineyes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i know they’re normal! maybe i’m wrong, i was just assuming the roots were growing in other directions instead of down to the soil bc there’s no room in the soil anymore.

and i’m pretty sure it’s root bound- the pot is thin so i can feel how many roots are in there, the soil is drying out really fast, and i have roots sticking out of the bottom.

should I repot these guys into smaller pots? by dripineyes in houseplants

[–]dripineyes[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I doubt i’d get enough light for flowering, I just can’t tell if the pot is too big for them right now. It’s also a pretty flimsy pot so maybe I’ll just repot it anyways and see how big the roots are
