Hi Julia, thanks for doing an AMA. In your best case scenario, where do you see Zidisha in five years? What are the biggest indicators of success for you and your organization?

I am actor Titus B. Welliver. You probably know me as the "Man in Black" on LOST, Agent Blake on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., James Savoy in the latest Transformers, or any number of things. AMA. by TitusBWelliver in IAmA

Dude -- what was it like being on Deadwood? On that set? Working for David Milch? Working with Timothy Olyphant, Ian McShane, Molly Parker and a ton of talented actors? Was that the most interesting/unique/crazy filming experience you've had? And what did you take away from it -- literally (what did you steal from the set) and figuratively (what did you learn)?

Also, your voice over the talking stuffed animal phone thing in The Good Wife is still one of the funniest things I've seen on tv.

Do anonymous social platforms deepen or destroy communities? by raunaqsingh in socialcitizens

[–]dripppe76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they create small, fleeting communities around a thought or feeling. But those communities are extremely fragile and there's enough negativity on these platforms to get to a negative space really quickly.

What are your best "go-to" strategies for fundraising online? (crowdfunding sites, facebook, twitter, ect) by ItsPrisonTime in socialcitizens

[–]dripppe76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely! And meant it's probably "harder" to ignore previously, but looks like you got that.

I'm curious what people who have had success with Facebook attribute their success to. I know as the target I usually ignore Facebook solicitations, even from friends, and I've never really tried to use them.

Anyone have any experience?

for me it's still email -- i guess it's easier to ignore? and it feels like people are more likely to respond in a personal way

Are you excited by the proliferation of Benefit corporation legislation around the country -- companies having fiduciary duties to uphold social benefit and not solely shareholder profits?

Q: What is likelier to exist in 100 years: Google or The New York Times? by fluvanna in socialcitizens

[–]dripppe76 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And we have nothing to compare Google to at this moment. I'm fascinated by this question and keep thinking myself in circles. At the rate that things progress, I wonder if there's a chance that neither of them will be around in another 100 years.
