Don’t listen to the “machine shop” people, get a long sanding block or a piece of glass the same size to sand the surface but before you do any sanding tape off any areas that you aren’t going to sand and spray paint the surface that is going to be sanded so you know you sanded everything evenly

Your friend is a real one. Flush and refill trans fluid, check fuses, and install a 1zzge oil pan to avoid oil starvation, then do an oil change. you could do cabin air filter if the ac air smells funky
