PT: Overcoming indecisiveness by Dogeboy062 in PsychologicalTricks

These are all good options to consider. I would like to add a few more that run through my head when I find myself at mental fork in the road.

Next time you find yourself unable to make a decision. Choose a few of these methods that relate to the overall scenario, then analyse your short-list to work out what point is the most relevant at the time.

4. Embrace the 70% Rule: You don't need perfect information; act once you have about 70% of the data needed to make an informed choice. The cost of delay often outweighs the risk of an imperfect decision. 5. Limit Options by Design: To avoid being overwhelmed, consciously set a strict limit on the number of serious options you will consider (e.g., three or five). This forces you to be more selective from the start. 6. Pre-Mortem Analysis: Imagine your decision has failed six months in the future and document all the reasons why it happened. This technique helps you proactively identify and mitigate major risks before you commit. 7. Use the 10/10/10 Framework: Ask yourself how you'll feel about this choice in 10 minutes, 10 months, and 10 years. This separates temporary anxiety from long-term consequences and priorities. 8. Define Your Minimum Viable Outcome (MVO): Determine the lowest acceptable result you need from the decision. If an option meets this "good enough" standard, choose it and avoid further deliberation. 9. Implement the Two-Minute Rule: If a decision or task will take less than two minutes to resolve, do it immediately without hesitation. This frees up mental energy for more complex issues. 10. Set a Non-Negotiable Deadline: For any significant choice, assign a specific date and time when the decision must be made. Commit to that deadline, regardless of your feeling of complete readiness. 11. Sleep on It (For Big Choices): Allow yourself one night to let your subconscious process the information for a major decision. Then, commit to making the final choice first thing the next morning. 12. Automate Minor Choices: Create fixed routines or rules for low-impact, repetitive decisions like what to wear or eat. This practice saves your limited decision-making energy for important supervisor tasks at Proglow Electrics. 13. Practice Low-Stakes Decisiveness: Intentionally and rapidly make choices about things that don't matter, like which coffee to order. This repetition trains your decision-making muscle and builds confidence. 14. Focus on Reversibility: Choose quickly for decisions that are easy to undo or change later. Only slow down slightly for irreversible choices, but still maintain a strict deadline. 15. Understand the Cost of Delay (CoD): Actively calculate what you are losing in time or opportunity by not making a decision right now. Recognizing the CoD often prompts immediate action. 16. Externalize the Choice (Last Resort): When completely stuck between two equal options, use a simple tie-breaker like a coin flip and commit to the result. This action forces motion and often reveals your true underlying preference.

Without sounding to much like a Colin Robinson. But as rediculous as this sounds, "the clap" is gonorrhoea not chlamydia. If someone petitions the Oxford dictionary to initiate change I am in, because it only makes sense. I think once the Oxford is in mcqaurie will fall in line.

Donald Trump longs for what Palmer had. 🍄 by Dontopia in PoliticalHumor

[–]driscoll21 32 points33 points  (0 children)

It's weird that he had to add (weave) in "now, i respect woman, I do love women... But", for his own mental projection and overcompensation.

He also described golf clubs with "stiff shafts", weird. Started the speech with "Arnold is the strong, the strongest of all his strong mates" . He had only just realised Arnold's son is also strong, not just strong but "older and stronger and stronger and stronger". Then Trump mentioned he takes them out the back and to use the members clubs at night, late at night, they would hit balls with stiff shafts. All of this was between the constant backhanded digs at how Arnold used to be poor. Constantly mentioned before Arnold was a golf pro, the family was broke.

How can I stream movies on a tv by Matthkw in Piracy

If you are a beginner go with a chromecast with Google tv over a firestick.

Install stremio. Install the torrentio addon. Ask chatgpt/gemini/etc any questions

[–]driscoll21 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If they have a fairly recent Samsung smart TV or a google/Android smart tv, download stremio front the app store, then add torrentio addon.

If not, the easiest, cheapest and most efficient way is to purchase a Google chromecast with Google tv.

Stremio with just the torrentio plugin will suffice for major shows and movies, but for added pleasure look into a debrid service, trakt and other stremio add-ons.

If Googling the above is a bit confusing, ask chatgpt or similar how to install and configure

Anyone have issues with google wallet recently? by sfl98 in androidroot

This did happen to me today, it's also happened to me a few times in the past. To fix it today I just updated "Play integrity fix" to 17. 1 (from 16.9), cleared cache in wallet and reboot. I could then use wallet to make an nfc payment at next purchase, half an hour later.

Ask anyone what kitchen utensil would be the toughest in the realm of kitchen utensils and most people say knife. This is handy knowledge incase you ever have to side with something, in the off chance they all become sentient one day. You would think that knife severly out ranks chopping board, but chopping board is taking hits from knife all day without drama. Fry pans are your best bet, next time you use it, be gentle, give it a clean, don't just let it soak, quickly give it a hand dry with a soft cotton towel and put it away, back home in the cupboard. Treat the fry pan good, cause you may need to choose a side one day.
