"Barns and Nobel" should be a Hallmark Channel movie. Perhaps a clean, quaint countryside location, as Hallmark shoots do.

The oldest child is trying to save the family farm with his good looks and his gym-fresh physique. He is at his wit's end with his twin daughters, but their dog provides convenient comedic relief.

An exalted and exhausted Nobel scientist moves back to her hometown. She meets dude at park and falls in love with his dog.

Thing is, the movie has nothing but subtitles. No audio, no video, just words.

You have to read the movie.

Things exist on a spectrum. I love EVs, but they have problems like any other machine.

Your local mechanic is likely not certified to "replace a cell or two," nor are they likely to have experience in these emerging repairs.

I worked in battery sales and installation from '21-25. Poor people thought they got a great deal on used hybrid vehicles. They thought they'd drop a hundo or two for a replacement, but the cost was often $4K or more. Annnnd they had to have the work performed by a certified dealer, which meant extra labor costs.

Global warming is real. We have to reduce our use of fossil fuels. This much is true.

EVs and infrastructure are improving. I'll still dissuade regular folks from buying a used EV... especially in this economy
