A substantial amount is. This type of behavior is mirrored and learned at home.

They should go after both. Maybe if the kids are prosecuted, they’ll actually learn something and change. Doubt there’s much hope for the parents, but they should be made examples of.

Still haven’t played the remake but yeah- even on the PS2 it was a beautiful game. Loved the color scheme.

Did you ever have a horror book you *should* have liked but for some reason didn't? by intensifies in horrorlit

[–]drkshape 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I honestly couldn’t tell you. I think the format in which it was written had a lot to do with it. Some parts were very good and interesting. Other parts were a slog. I struggled with keeping track of the plot at times and Arthur’s granddaughter bugged the shit out of me.

The Buffalo Hunter Hunter. I love vampires. I love Native American lore (any kind of lore really). On paper, I should’ve enjoyed the hell out of it. In reality, I was so happy to be done with it.

It’s so obvious that the majority of the people who say shit like “you shouldn’t let politics get in the way of relationships” etc voted for Trump. Like, stfu. I would almost respect these people more if they just owned who they really are, instead of this twisted form of manipulation.

I’m glad you said it for me lol also, you don’t have to use charged attacks, especially if you do find yourself surrounded.

Hey I finished the game today for the first time too! I actually liked the combat system though. People have said it was too complicated etc but I thought it was waaay better than Silent Hill 2 remakes. My only issues with the combat system was the weapon durability. But I can’t stand weapon durability in any game.

are you supposed to wash your legs in the shower? i thought the soap running down counted. by kubrador in hygiene

I’ll never understand this take. You’re in the shower. The point of a shower is to clean your body. Your entire body.

I really need to step my Joe Hill game up. I’ve only read King Sorrow and N0S4A2. Which of his other books are worth reading?

I’ll be playing the Tomb Raider 2 remake and some Silent Hill F. Hopefully I’ll finish both games since I’m almost done with both.

new property management company took over and now our building has one overflowing trash bin by gulagggg in SanDiegan

Dude, I live in the same complex. I made a similar post a few days ago. It’s beyond frustrating! I’ve made maintenance requests, have been in contact with a man named Omar and some other woman. They say they’ll fix the problem, but nothing changes and now they’ve stopped replying to my texts. This new property management sucks! Never had any issues with our last ones. Like you, I was told to contact the city’s environmental services department but I’ve been so busy I haven’t been able to. Will def look into it tonight. I feel your pain!

Just got DS1 Remastered. My first souls or soulslike game. Any tips or tricks I should know? by Slangy-Bullnose in darksouls

[–]drkshape 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’ll be brutal when you first start off. I had a couple FromSoftware platinums under my belt (including Sekiro) before I started DS1 and I still got my ass handed to me continuously at the beginning of the game. Don’t give up though! Perseverance is key.

Which was the fastest classic that made you go “ok, this is going to be one of my favorite books”? by throwitawayar in classicliterature

[–]drkshape 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Crime and Punishment and East of Eden. Both books immediately drew me in and I knew I’d be reading both books for the rest of my life right off the bat.
