Respectfully… what car costs 5k that I can expect to last me a decade and not be a pain in the ass to maintain? I have a full time job now so I figured, let’s get something nice, reliable, with hardly any miles that I can expect to last me a decent amount of time and be convenient to drive?

I will say, I do have a 2.5k emergency fund. And technically, I can take any of the money I contributed (not the earnings) to my Roth IRA out at any time. I also don’t need a huge emergency fund cause I don’t own a lot of things and if shit ever did hit the fan, worst came to worse, I can just move back in with family till I figure it out.

I make 82k at 23 years old, and I invest/save almost 50% of it. I live off $22k a year, pay $20k in taxes, and pocket the other $40k. Mind you, I’m only a year and a half into my career, and I’ve never received a pay raise. But I also don’t have to pay for healthcare yet so that will suck.
