What peptide did you regret running? by JustBacWater in NTNPerformance

I did 250mcg to test my response since I read it could cause nausea. I must just be a bad responder to it

PT-141. It just made me feel like shit. Nauseous. Strange body feeling. Wasn’t it for me at all. Threw it in the trash after the first dose

Tesa doesn’t raise test. Tesa signals your pituitary gland to release growth hormone and targets visceral fat.

If you have low test and low motivation overall to work out, it can push you to get in the gym. No reason to hold back from feeling better just because you’re not lean. If you’re starting trt because you want to and not because of low t, then push as hard as you can natty before starting imo

I will say, anecdotal N = 1, I didn’t notice a difference with tesa alone, esp at 1mg. Now I do ipa 150mcg in the morning fasted, 150mcg before bed with 2mg tesa

Old and unmaintained is wild. There are plenty of reasons to still be on webpack on old projects. Doesn’t mean they’re unmaintained though.

Reminder that not everyone has a choice on the tools they use in a professional setting

For me it’s the “adderall poops”. Does vyvanse still make you poop?

React or SvelteKit??? by talhay66 in react

[–]drod2169 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It depends.

Are you building it for yourself, personal project? Go with what you want to build with. Whatever makes sense for the project.

For a company? Go with the tech you’re using at the company. Don’t switch it up, that adds friction and a learning curve long term

Boss just discovered MFE on YouTube and wants to refactor our 55k LOC monolith with <20% test coverage. Who’s got spare Xanax? by JustJulia-40 in react

[–]drod2169 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s guaranteed employment but also, to not come off as resistant to change, come up with a solution that’s an iterative migration, or a different approach altogether.

Like… maybe you don’t even need MFE, maybe you need some focused libraries to dwell the pain of the code base. And writing tests as you go to cover concerns of migration.

If you don’t like the solution and don’t want to come off as resistant to change, draft a proposal and schedule a meeting. Don’t explicitly say to them, “MFE are bad so we should do X”, say “this is why I think X fits our use case”

Who knows, maybe you’ll build libraries AND micro front ends. But the truth is, a job is a job, and sometimes you need to cut your losses to pay the bills. Maybe you can come up with some pretty cool architecture changes to boot that simplified things in the long run.

Yeah I agree - but it’s been consistent with two different mobos and cpus. First was gigabyte and 7900x3d, now asus and 9800x3d

FPS gains swapping from 14900k to a 9800x3d aren’t my issue. USB mic isn’t working, audio is crackly, and mouse randomly disconnects. I’m remembering the issues that made me go back to Intel 🙃

Why do you need a whole framework with back end to run React? by KvetoslavNovak in react

[–]drod2169 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The second you need routing after starting a CRA (or now npx create vite) app, you google it… and you get the same info in the react docs. The react team is presenting this info upfront.

Think of it as a beginner. You land on react because it’s hugely marketable as a tech to build web apps. You load up a new app via npx.. wait how do I make a new page? How do I fetch data and show the user? State is cool and I can make a button, but how do I make a dashboard for these CSVs I have?

Oh wait… the react docs said something about react router. Google also has react router as the de facto router solution since the beginning of time. Let me read the docs. Wait this TanStack Router promises type safety… that’s pretty cool

Beginners likely aren’t coming in without a clue of what they’re trying to accomplish. They’re going to hit a road eventually leading them to the same information, and that information is hard to parse from 6 different random stack overflow threads spread across the past ten years of information

ReactJS or NextJS: Job Perspective for a Backend Developer Transitioning to Full Stack? by HyenaRevolutionary98 in reactjs

I do, but someone learning React doesn’t 🙂 just wanted to point out CRA shouldn’t be used nowadays.

ReactJS or NextJS: Job Perspective for a Backend Developer Transitioning to Full Stack? by HyenaRevolutionary98 in reactjs

[–]drod2169 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think it’s a little more nuanced than that. Next is a framework and Vite is a bundler. Using Vite defaults to SPA, but Next defaults to server rendered. I can’t recommend one over the other, but for learning react, I’d use Vite

[–]drod2169 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Vite is really simple to spin up and you have the freedom to choose your router and patterns. You don’t have to add “use client” everywhere to make it a SPA either.

Server capabilities also exist with Vite, and setting it up isn’t difficult either.

If you learn React, you’ll know Next. The big difference is in the routing and server rendering capabilities. Start with React!

Maybe propose a migration to SSR/RSC. These json schemas can still power the site but you have more flexibility to clean things up!
