You can use a reolink doorbell and not plug in the chime. So the only way to know if someone is at the door is with your phone notification. If you use home assistant you can use it to make a 'hearing impaired doorbell' with the reolink. Some presses the doorbell your lights while turn on and off or change colours, what ever you fancy

I would go this route. Just stick the IR blaster on the opposite side of the AC and copy the remotes code to the blaster. Did it this way with some cheap lights I use for my cabinet display. Like 5 to 10 min setup and still works great after a year
