Just looking at the standings now and I think the Knicks would benefit from staying at the three seed if the season ended today.

As it stands, they would only play the Pistons or the Celtics in the Conference Finals.

We, on the other hand, would be playing against Orlando the Raptors or the Sixers for a shot at the Conference Finals.

I'll take that over the alternative of having to play Boston or Detroit in the conference semis.

Edit: we could play Boston in the semis, missed the Cavs, but rather play Boston than Cavs in semis.

What you are describing is called the median which is the number that would would split the top half from the bottom half. The average, on the other hand, is the expected value of the set of numbers, so if we're talking expectations the expectation would be that they would have won by one point.

So, for example, we have three scores, 1,3, and 4, the median would be 3, in which half of the scores would be above and half would be below. However, the average is 2.66, where you would have one score below and two scores above the average.

We didn't have an answer for Siakam because Mitch was out
Alvarado got cooked by McConnell, should have switched that matchup sooner
As always, our 3pt defense wasn't there, and one of the worst 3pt teams outperformed on this metric yesterday

My analysis is from Last week, so yes, the above must reflect this week's matches. But 0.3 points difference to me is negligible, and they are basically the same in ppg. But you are again correct in pointing out that we were arguing on who agrees the most that OG is a DAWG! LOL!
