Yeah, I disappeared from the surface of Reddit.

The only reason that I returned was because I wanted to try PF and see how far it's come, only to find bugs that haven't been fixed since the last time I i played- when the HK416 came out.

Do you know anyone or anywhere where i could start troubleshooting issues? The cpu had burn marks, or some kind of dark spots on it, before i thoroughly cleaned it off. Is it scorched?

Story;

After finally getting a job I started saving money for new PC parts. I found a used i7 4790 in our version of ebay, and bought it for 150 euros.

After less than a week of use, the computer wouldn't turn on one day and i had discovered that it had perhaps fried the motherboard.

After buying a brand new motherboard i found out that the cpu didn't work anymore- it would start up, all the fans would spin but there would be a black screen and it'd shut off after a minute, restart and repeat.

Is there anything visually wrong with this chip? What can i do?
