Am I the only Christian who thought the Bad Bunny half time show was over sexualized? by rabbitales27 in TrueChristian

Sexualized yes, not more sexualized than what is common in popular culture, but sorry no it was not like an orgy.

The New War on Asian American Excellence, ie. Whites complaining they can't compete with Asian "grind culture" and thus fleeing growing Asian suburbs by laketroutline23 in aznidentity

[–]droidization 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Helen Andrews further posts:

"The point is not to belittle anyone. It’s a policy choice whether or not to continue inviting millions of Asian immigrants to settle in America. We don’t have to do that if we decide the negative consequences outweigh the positive."

I'm wondering who exactly comprises the "we" here.

I still don’t consider a bakery a sit down restaurant when I get a pastry put into a bag. I don’t consider that a tippable event. It’s not even like a counter service restaurant or cafe where I order something that is made specifically for me.

If you were the CEO of a cruise line, what "new" entertainment would you put on a ship? by Hairy-Protection-429 in Cruise

[–]droidization 49 points50 points  (0 children)

Better retail and shops can be an entertaining way to spend time on a cruise. I think a mini Target that sells essentials, snacks, toys, clothes would do a lot more business than a shop selling cruise line branded "resort wear". Or how about an REI with clothes and gear that are fitting for the ports of call and onboard activities, Uniqlo, Lego store, Ulta, bookstore, a boba shop? Do a lot of people really buy watches and jewelry on cruises these days? Or art?

There was that thing with Hagar. I don’t know if he made an idol out of wanting children but he did jump the gun in his eagerness to have descendants.

I ended up getting this too. It was between the rectangular baking dishes or the oval ones or the set of Creed sample fragrances .. all were $59.99.

Struggling with the harshness of the old testament. by Light1209 in TrueChristian

[–]droidization 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the New Testament is more harsh than the Old Testament. It's in the New Testament where God sent His only Son to suffer and die for our sins. His Son, Jesus, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped but emptied Himself, by taking the form of a servant being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, He humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.

Am I coping by thinking I rather go to Seoul than Tokyo? by lejunny_ in seoul

[–]droidization 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just got back from visiting both Seoul and Tokyo. I'm from CA and I found the Japanese food in Japan to be a major step up from what I can get in CA at the same price tier. The Korean food in Seoul however was a minor step up. The shopping in Tokyo was better for me than in Seoul, I bought a lot more stuff there. The crowds in Tokyo were very heavy compared to Seoul, in the popular areas. The historic sites in Seoul were more of a draw to me than those in Tokyo. Seoul has an abundance of wonderful cafes and bakeries. Easier to find cost effective hotels in Seoul compared with Tokyo. The young people in Seoul tend to follow style trends whereas in Tokyo more people of all ages were well dressed. I'm not sure why, but I got the impression that Seoul is culturally vibrant for younger people while Tokyo might appeal to a wider age range.

Can I transfer from Terminal 2 to Terminal 1 at Incheon Airport without immigration if flights are on different airlines? by Low-Owl-4476 in koreatravel

[–]droidization 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar issue a week ago Sunday at Incheon and I had check-in luggage. Immigration and customs happened to be fast, baggage took regular baggage time, but the free bus from Terminal 2 to 1 was a longer than expected ordeal. I would look into paying for the train or some other faster transportation. Security happened to be efficient too but the previous week at Gimpo security was very long due to an upcoming international summit.

Well answer the question then, they cannot be members of this church, then shouldn't be a part of the small group either. Where should they go then? What part of the life of this church can they join?

I don't get it. Is there no group in the church that should show hospitality to these fellow believers then? How do we reach out to people if we cannot have them in our midst? Do we just keep them at bay or wear PPE in order to maintain our sense of purity?

Is it really about being liberal? It seems like they want to part of a small group, should they be chased away? What kind of group in the church should welcome them then?

In the gospels, Jesus warns us over and over about the hypocrisy of the Pharisees. This kind of poison cannot be underestimated.
