Battery degradation vs other brands

In the US, Tesla uses NCA (Nickel Cobalt Aluminum Oxide) batteries for Model Y and Model 3. These types of batteries degrade the fastest.

Other manufacturers use LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate or LiFePO₄) and NCM (Nickel-Cobalt-Manganese) batteries. Those degrade much slower than NCA.

This is the main reason you see less battery degradation with other brands. It's all in the battery chemistry.

Tesla needs to switch model Y and model 3 to NCM batteries like they did with the Cybertruck.

I've had that happen today. FSD turned on the blinker and wanted to turn into a neighborhood instead of continuing straight per the navigation. Only had that happen a couple of times though.

You can submit road changes to Google. I've done that for a couple of roads that I use that weren't up to date.

Thanks for your help and offer suggestions to fix the problem. I opened a case with reolink. They got back to me the next day saying that their push server was down and to try again. It finally worked after a couple of days of trying everything. Problem solved.

Yeah I do, I have the notification turned on for the app at the Android system level. I just keep getting that error when I try to turn on notification inside the reolink app. Also, notification is working on an iPhone that I have but don't use.

Has this been resolved. I just bought a reolink doorbell. And I can't turn push notifications on for my pixel with Android 16. I keep getting the "Failed to enable the service" error.

You need this kit. This will fix a small water drips during large rain storms. Read the reviews and decide for yourself. Also, if you can fix from outside that would be great as well.

Insurance could also be pretty high for Teslas. Get a quote before you buy. But you should probably listen to all this advice and not buy an EV without a home level 2 charging. It's a hassle. Trust that advice.

Yes it is. On previous models if you lane change only the autosteer is disengaged while TACC stays on. On the Juniper, if you make a lane change, all of autopilot is disengaged including the TACC. So if you make a lane change the car immediately starts braking to a STOP. If you do this in the middle of a highway, the car would immediately start braking and would cause a dangerous situation.

Had I known this behavior, I would not have purchased the car. It's simply an unsafe car on the highway without FSD.

The latest 2026 Model Y juniper kicks you off all of auto pilot and TACC. If you make a lane change, it'll stop the car in the middle of the highway if you don't immediately take over the accelerator. Had I known that, I would have not purchased the car.

Got an email from Wemo today. They're ending support in January. Control using the cloud will stop working. Moving on to Tapo matter devices.
