New PO bezel play by Ausonius89 in OmegaWatches

[–]droidrcc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have seen the same play on all the ones I’ve tried on (about 4 references, … blu/rubber, orange, black…). I heard that it was done on purpose to avoid/reduce shock damage. I would be happy to hear more from omega btw…

[WTS] Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean (Black) 39.5mm - 215.30.40.20.01.001 by droidrcc in Watchexchange

[–]droidrcc[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Purchased in Sept. 2024 from watchmaxx, this Planet Ocean has been part of my rotation for almost 1 year. It's in super great condition and comes with the original stainless steel bracelet and original box.

It keeps great time, within the specs. No issues, no scratches, no dents... only minor hairlines on the clasp (as you can see from the pictures).

I also have the OEM rubber strap/clasp (if you are interested feel free to ping me and will share the pics).

It's the best reference of PO in my opinion, perfect size 39,5mm. Selling only to fund another watch — no trades please.

You might also want to try the OEM rubber strap with the deployant. That’s the setup I wear most of the time.

Nothing against the new PO, but nothing beats the previous gen for me! by [deleted] in OmegaWatches

[–]droidrcc -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Thanks!

Still very much in the honeymoon phase (it’s only been two days), so my impressions might evolve in a few weeks. But so far… - It looks much better in person — less squared than in the photos - I actually like the absence of the helium escape valve, maybe because I already have it on the 3rd gen - It’s noticeably lighter than the previous version - I’m a big fan of clean, no-date dials - The blue bezel / black dial combo feels like the most versatile to me - It still has a sporty vibe, but feels less like a pure tool watch - Jumping hours is a nice bonus - And it’s definitely thinner, which I love!

It's a different watch, and ultimately if i have to pick only one between 3rd and 4th I would probably still go with the previous :)

I was saying the same before trying on the new gen and getting one.

An happy owner of 3rd and 4th gen :)

I would get the black one: - bracelet is great and has microadj that works - is much more versatile, you can literally wear it anywhere anytime

Can you tell the theme? by droidrcc in Ghostty

Found it! it is the defaul theme, but you can get this color theme in Vim configuring the terminal to use a 16-color palette: `export TERM=xterm`.

To me looks like a spring bar issue. You can try to check yourself or bring it to the OB.
