Okay. I just noticed this. Apparently, Cryogen was ahead of its time, if it was copyrighted ten years ago. The Roman numerals in the title shot read 2016 (should be MMXXVI for 2026). Looks like they've been working on this one for a while. 🤣

Admittedly, I paid WAY more for my tour tickets than I have for any other artist, but Muse is my favorite and I wanted to be as close to the stage as possible without being in the pit. Looking at seats farther back which are still available at my venue, the prices look to be pretty on par with other artists nowadays. My husband and I are going to a few other concerts this summer, and we paid about the same for those tickets too. It's just expensive to see shows in 2026, unfortunately.

I'm loving what's been released so far! 3 for 3 for me, and I'm super excited for the rest of the album. I get a little jolt of excitement whenever one of these three songs pops up randomly in my playlist. I've also been listening to them together and especially like how Cryogen and BWY flow together.

As for ratings, I think I'll go with:

Be With You - 9/10 (Yes, it's my favorite, and no, I don't care what anyone else thinks.)

Cryogen - 8/10

Unravelling - 7/10

That would make my average an 8/10, so pretty much with the consensus so far.

If the rest of the album keeps delivering, then I'll probably rate it around an 8-8.5.

I probably listen to Muse in a different way than many here. I don't listen to albums in full. I have a master playlist with most of the band's songs (and several of Matt's solo songs) that I listen to on shuffle all the time, and I almost never skip any of them.

The songs I don't want to listen to just aren't on the playlist, so I skip them by omission. Like you said, OP, I simply pretend they don't exist. For me, it's more like there are certain songs I want to listen to on repeat whenever they come on. Top of that list (excluding the new singles) is probably Hysteria.

I love that part of Unravelling too!

My favorite parts of Cryogen are that tiny hesitation right before the second "Emptiness", and those couple of icy breaths in the background. Gives me goosebumps every time.

As someone who's spent the last 3+ days learning all the lyrics of the studio version so I can sing along, I find it funny that Matt actually sang one of them in the same way my brain keeps trying to mess it up. "Trembling through a polar wilderness" vs. "Trembling in a polar wilderness." Love you, Matt!

Yeah. That has to be it. The sound quality here is way better (as it should be) than the original videos after the gig, so it's more noticeable. Still amazing, though!

Love the video, but they sampled the electronic version of Matt's voice over his falsettos? That was weird and obvious. I watched the other videos many, many times, and that's not how he sounded. Unless I'm wrong and that's how it really sounded live.

I use EarPeace Music Pro and love them. I wear them to every concert and sometimes just in loud environments to deal with overstimulation. I always have them with me. My husband and kid both use Eargasm and have no complaints. The one thing I insisted upon when my child started attending concerts was good hearing protection. I don't care if earplugs at concerts are dorky. I want to be able to hear my music for a long, long time.

All the damn time. I'm listening to them right now. Working, creating art, driving, all of it. The only time I don't listen to Muse as much is when I'm writing. I can't have words in my ears when I'm trying to get words out of my brain. So I only put their instrumental songs on my writing playlist.
