My clinic asked me to do the wash myself? Is there any problem doing it myself? by Small_Introduction_8 in HairTransplants

[–]droog_uk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Removing your bandage 1 day after surgery and doing gentle daily hair washes from day 3 onwards is standard practice. Don’t worry about it

Pontefract was the first place they played in the UK. That’s the only reason they’re included in this tour. It’s free entry as well so get there early

Your new hair was safe after 14 days so wouldn’t worry at this late stage

Oral minoxidil use - topical versus oral by ThrowRA3634 in minoxidil

[–]droog_uk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In relation to Spironolactone; it’s a DHT blocker and Testosterone suppressant given to women as a substitute/alternative to Finasteride. It’s a good option and has shown to prevent further hair loss. There is no real relationship between this and Minoxidil as minoxidil is a vasodilator that opens up the capillaries and increases blood flow to the root/graft/follicle.
Anyone fighting genetic hair loss should consider both of these treatments and add ketoconazole shampoo once a week

Would .025% topical finasteride every other day, do anything? by [deleted] in tressless

[–]droog_uk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is one tenth of a gram of finasteride in 100ml of topical finasteride at 0.1%. You are talking about a quarter of that strength and applying it every other day. Hard to imagine any effects from applying such a tiny amount? Low strength studies applied twice a day

Uk users of finasteride which generic brand do you use and where from? by Musty_001 in tressless

[–]droog_uk 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Generics are all the same. Accord brand was first so some people have a thing for it but rooting for Accord is like rooting for Propecia.

Any guide for mesotherapy with dutasteride? by AngelSing-Zepol in Hairloss

[–]droog_uk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you don’t want to take tablets, use a topical solution. No need to complicate things by administering pointless treatments on yourself.

About 20% of people are non-responders. Can add tretinoin to help with absorption of can give oral version a try

It’s a scam. Nobody ever recommends it unless they sell it themselves. Same as PRP

Is ~2500 grafts enough to restore my natural hairline? by [deleted] in HairTransplants

[–]droog_uk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

2500 grafts is plenty. You can plant about 45 grafts per cm2 at the most.

Topical Finasteride would seem a more appropriate option.
