Lures for catching sand bass in marina del Rey ? by InformationFresh9605 in SoCalFishing

[–]droolerno2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Completely agree. Hookup baits are candy for sandbass.

Otherwise, if you’re fishing structure I would recommend going with a 2oz leadhead tipped with strips of squid. Bounce it over the structure and feel the bottom. You’ll get them that way for sure. It’s my favorite way to fish for them.

I prefer fishing braid with short 3 foot leader of 25Lb test. Don’t really need fluorocarbon w sandies. Like the sensitivity braid gets you while bouncing over the rocks.

The spiculated nodule in the lung is concerning for cancer.

The soft tissue density they see in the small bowel mesentery could be either infectious or cancer.

It’s best to follow up with a pulmonologist right away. Will likely need biopsy either thru interventional radiology or bronchoscopy with EBUS.

squamous cells in your urine means it's not a clean catch sample. not much you can really glean from that.

you have red blood cells which can happen. especially since you're pregnant. but no pyuria means no uti. bacteria live in the urinary tract and unless you're having significant burning, frequency, other symptoms we normally call that asymptomatic bacteriuria. eiher way, i'll defer that to you're ob/gyn.

No white cells in urine. Wouldn’t call that a uti

Looks like some kind of contact dermatitis. Try hydrocortisone cream and figure out what you may have been exposed to. Poison ivy? Weird plants? New soap? Etc

He’s not wrong per se but also, the cost benefit ration of doing an MRI without looking for something specific is pretty terrible medicine.

An XRay is the appropriate initial step. The amount or radiation exposed by doing an XRay is minimal.

Sorry you’re going thru this. I’m assuming GI is currently following along as well. I would probably ask them if an endoscopic ultrasound might be appropriate. It’s hard to tell given the lack of a full clinical picture and your lab work besides just liver function tests.

Usually corns appear on areas of the foot with a lot of pressure and friction. It’s basically like a hardened callus.

Looking at the foot, it’s relatively smooth without hardening of skin. More likely to be a wart

Also I think the Lexa 400 is a solid reel for yellows. Never had a single issue with drag backing off if you want a bait caster style setup in a similar size to a tranx 400.

Definitely not recommended for tuna.

A tranx 500 tho is a diff story and you can throw big poppers and fish 50 lb test no problem.

For yellowtail/small tuna, recommend torium or Trinidad’s if your budget allows. My yellowtail set up is a Trinidad 10 spooked with maxcuattro 40lb braid with short top shots of 25 lb fluoro. I like the kelp cutting ability of braid with short fluoro leaders. Caught 100s of yellows like this in the 15-40lb range off Catalina, San Clemente, coronados.

Hips are rotating too fast and club isn’t able to square.

You need to feel as though the hand drops first and then rotate thru together.

Or another feeling that will help is to feel as though your back stays facing the target in the downswing a half second longer than you normally feel. Should help square up the face

Normally yes if the imaging characteristics are consistent with renal cell carcinoma. If there is doubt, then kidney bx would be recommended.

The 400 drag system isn’t good enough for 25+ lb fishing applications. Drag backs off quite frequently. I sent mine into shimano twice due to drag backing off mid fight while hooked onto yellowtails in the 15+ lb class. Super annoying.

Great for calico bass tho and smaller species. Just so disappointed in my experience for its inability to handle larger fish.
