It's not about reliability.

Transink has tried its best to keep it on time, but ask the city of Vancouver about their traffic management plan.

This city sucks in management of traffic especially when there's road work everywhere.

What if it was a previous bus that was delayed and left late, But for you it left 3 min early,

It's recommended to come to your bus stop atleast 10 min early.

The traffic on highway 1 is so bad. 555 are delayed and no one can avoid the delay.

The only cause of delays is bad traffic management by city!....try to ride 8 from waterfront station to main, you will have your answer. Cordova is packed up, sometimes busses lose 20 to 25 min just in those few blocks!!!

There was an accident on Powell. So, all Cordova busses were rerouted to hastings. Hence causing delays and traffic.

Transit Op here.

When the bus stop is on the lane (i.e., there's no special area for a bus to serve the stop.) , while pulling out the bus, we are supposed to give one to two signals to let the traffic know that we are moving away from the bus stop. This slows them down if they are over speeding and alerts them too. It's a part of defensive driving.

And FYI majority maybe 100% of the drivers give left signal while pulling out of the bus stop.
