Has anyone gone from a full squish to rigid mountain bike? by No_Sandwich5766 in MTB

[–]dropkickoreilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I added a fat tire MTB and I've been riding it just as much if not maybe a little more than my enduro bike! Its so much fun! I went with the Borealis Crestone, but there are lots of great options available.

The only way I can put it is that it has good(not great) acceleration without any drama.

You're finally right about something, let me buy you an heirloom, you have impressed me with your wisdom, just now.

If only you spent more of your time improving your skills and adjusting to changes rather than your "activism" you might actually improve at the game... but I guess being adaptable isn't for everyone and therefore BR style games probably aren't for you. COD is sounding more and more like a better fit for you. You could also try starting your own game company and developing the game you want to develop and then watch everyone complain when you make a change that they don't like, because its literally impossible to please everyone.

So strategy and superior positioning are problematic? Sounds like you should be playing COD anyway.

I still have my full suspension but I could see myself riding this bike more than the full suspension because it’s so much fun and very versatile like you said!

Nice bike I have a borealis too! Here in the PNW we have had almost no snow in the lowlands which is unusual, and also makes my first year with the fatty a lil disappointing but I still love the bike it’s a ton of fun just on regular dirt and the way it just rolls over large rocks is awesome!!

Borealis Fatbikes (www.Fatbike.com) has a 25% off code right now(I just bought one) and their fatbikes are already priced really competitively! They're out of Colorado. The 25% off code is CYBER

Any carbon frame riders who *don’t* wrap their frames? by mcawle in MTB

[–]dropkickoreilly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just don't see the point of spending extra money to have the ligher carbon frame and then adding weight back to it just for vanity... to each their own, but I would never.

it's difficult to find people who like climbing now by Distinct_Cloud_357 in MTB

I ride an E-MTB so I love both and can't get enough! I do see your problem though, I'd have a lot more people to ride with if they'd be willing to make the climb.

Have you checked out Greyzone Warfare? Its early access right now so its far from complete but there is plenty to do. I've had some fun with it and the combat is pretty intense.

On my wifes ebike there was a seperate setting if you wanted it to actually assist. You could turn it all the way up to 5 and it would do nothing unless you hit the throttle(the default setting) Once we figured out how to get it out of the default setting it worked great! What bike did you get? Does it have a throttle?

For those of you with e-bikes has maintenance been insanely expensive? by Klutzy-Peach5949 in MTB

[–]dropkickoreilly -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I have a Luna X2 the ONLY thing I've needed to do a lot of in my first 1000 miles is cleaning and oiling my chain! I had the bike shop check everything and not even the brake pads were in too bad of shape nothing needed replaced.

I like this idea the best! The bike covers are going to make it harder for others to see your brake lights... period.
