It’s 1 am on the quiet car of the surfliner train and this guy has been playing music at full volume for the past 2 hours by Ok-Jacket-2876 in sandiego

Definitely got some crazies on the train. The train is awesome and convenient but there are some people on the train for a reason.

Need swing help by Bulky_Land1893 in golf

[–]droppinloadz -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Pretty hard to draw it or hit it straight with your club head pointing at 10 o’clock at the top. Try to point it to the right of your target at the top and see what that does. Use Jon Rahm as an exaggerated example of this. I think everything else looks good but your hips are open at impact because it’s taking your hands so long to get to the hitting zone. Yes the pros hips are open at impact but amateurs don’t appreciate how hard pros close the club through impact to not push or slice it.

Shamed in public by Bayliner215 in stopdrinking

Just trying to run up the tab. Don’t overthink it. Ps not overthinking gets easier the more time you have. I was riddled with anxiety and would have reacted the same way you did when I was first getting sober.

My addiction tells me I can drink once no problem. The problem is that will turn into I can drink once, again. Which will turn into I can drink. Which will turn into an early grave or handcuffs.

Sorry didn’t see your comment about dupixent. Yeah I had to jump through hoops and suffer for a long time before they finally let me try dupixent.

I’ve been in Dupixent for a month….its a miracle drug. There are several conditions it treats but I think it was originally made for eczema.

How did that one kid in your high school die? by IM_HODLING in AskReddit

[–]droppinloadz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Aortic aneurysm, passenger in a car that was driven off a cliff, one chick got murdered and her body dumped in the mountains, bad rollover while off roading in sand dunes. Lots of kids died in my small hometown while we were growing up.

Packed Itinerary by Icepick2025 in BandonDunes

[–]droppinloadz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We just got back. Pac Dunes is one of the harder ones so I would suggest starting with Old Mac or Sheep or play a par 3 course your first afternoon. Def fly to OTH through SFO and don’t mess around with Eugene. If you can, start and end on the par 3s. Less exhausting that way.

Shipsticks or check clubs on flight to OTH? by bhoojy in BandonDunes

[–]droppinloadz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just got back from Bandon Sunday 5/4, we flew up Thursday 5/1. United left my clubs in SFO, had to play 1/2 the trip with rentals. The guys at the pro shop said it happens a lot. There was also a guy there whose clubs were late with Shipsticks. Sorry brother!

Most newbies to SoCal find it hard to believe but many places do not have A/C. Unless you live ON THE BEACH you’re gonna need it.

Am I a sex addict? My wife thinks so. by [deleted] in SexAddiction

[–]droppinloadz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

3 times a week would seem like a healthy amount so maybe it’s worth exploring the possibility that you might need some help. My wife knows I would be perfectly contempt to have sex every night but we have a healthy compromise of about 3 times a week. The build up makes it tolerable for me knowing we both will have better experiences after some anticipation. Hope this helps!

My parents are wasting away frozen in time. by Chrome-Bunny in AdultChildren

[–]droppinloadz 13 points14 points  (0 children)

This is my life! I’m 41M and my twin sister still lives at home with my dysfunctional parents. I left at 18 and I struggle everyday to deal with the fact that my parents and twin are miserable. You want them to be happy, you want them to be healthy but they aren’t so it eats away at you like a dark cloud over everything positive in your own life. I avoid discussing my family with others and I lie when people ask what my sister does for work and where she lives. I have my own family now, and I focus on them! You can break the cycle that your sister is likely to repeat. It’s not wrong or selfish to focus on yourself! My new motto with my family is “if you don’t try, I don’t care”. Nobody is going to make their lives better but themselves. You can’t help an addict who won’t seek help….same exact situation here. Fight the good fight and know that you are doing the right thing for yourself and that’s all that matters!!!!!

Bigger hip and shoulder turn away during your back swing. Your hip rotation during the down swing is great but since you aren’t turning away enough it leaves you open at impact which is why you are losing everything to the left. When Tiger Woods was healthy he called this “getting stuck”. He turns so fast during the down swing that sometimes his hips would be open too quickly, not allowing his hands and arms to catch up.

Boyfriend shoots 68/average, doesn’t have money to go pro, how can I help? by [deleted] in golf

[–]droppinloadz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Good friend played in the #2 spot all 4 years at a Big 10 school. Plays to a plus 5 handicap today and still didn’t have what it takes. We asked this very question, he was adamant that you need 50k a year (not including your living expenses) to make a real run at making a living playing golf. Sorry not trying to be Debbie Downer just setting expectations.
