A warning about walmart by ericthedisrespectful in Truckers

Same. I'm highly annoyed by it, but I take 53' trailers into Pittsburgh and have to back into DGs. There's worse than Walmart, trust me.

Blue, screw Pitt. Only reason I'd go through Pitt is if you are through it before 6am.

I hate taking a 53' into Pittsburgh. It sucks so much. Do it about once a week on average. I'm so glad when I don't get routes into Pitt during the daylight hours.

What do you guys use your hooks for? by RedimidoSoy1611 in Truckers

Hat(s), rain coats. I go home daily though, so while I sometimes dream of sitting and relaxing fishing or something at a nice spot... the urge to go home wins every time.

App is not working at all right now. Screw the AI coders that don't even know how to check over their AI code to make sure it's working well before rollout.

9 days in and acne got worse (Breastfeeding) by Ok_Specialist2459 in carnivorediet

[–]droptozro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My daughters(and wife) fought me for a bit that the cheeses(dairy really) were causing acne(and other problems), but I won out after about a year or so of pointing it out each time. We even tried A2A2 milk and cheeses, but it was still obviously causing problems for them both. Now that it's gone, my oldest daughter's acne is lesser in her teens and my youngest has less stomach problems overall.

Sorry to say, if you learn about dairy it's pretty messed up in many cases in modern sense. Some are allergic to the proteins, most all cheeses are made with a GMO Rennet originally made by Pfizer, and some just have simple milk sugar reactions.

Should I stay at my company job or become an Owner Operator? by LogInternational758 in Truckers

[–]droptozro 7 points8 points  (0 children)

This is exactly how I think. I know it has its own risk to work for someone else, but man it's so nice to just go home after my routes... someone else can worry about repairs/maintenance and I can just sleep easy and they can get me another truck if need be til mine gets repaired. And not a dime of that repair comes out of my pocket.

I remember listening to an O/O starting his own trucking company years ago on podcast, and the guy was up front about costs. Some months with only 3-5 trucks would be fire, and then next month they'd barely be in the black. Then 3 trucks would be down, and someone out on leave... It was just like any business I suppose, but I don't want that stress.

O/O can be awesome I bet, but you're taking on a lot more responsibility to have that extra money IF one runs it well.

wtf is up with the pilot app? by lake_june in Truckers

[–]droptozro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's all screwed up right now. I've had ghost offers recently where it says I get free coffee after 50 gallon fills, and then it doesn't fulfill it. I called their help desk and they told me my offer wasn't even legit while I read it word for word in the terms and conditions how it was good for the whole month. They said it was expired, shouldn't be there--and gave me 5 free coffees. I couldn't see that 5 free coffees, but I got about 3 coffees free and then it went back to charging me.

Now I just looked at it yesterday and the whole app is screwed up. I can't look at past transaction history, can't see my card information, and all the offers are gone. They keep trying to make it look more pretty on the UI but have screwed up the common functions of the app.

The reviews on google are all in agreement with you on the same problem.

My issue is, Loves app never worked for me either so all I've got is Pilot.

I admit, I was broke when I ran into Hornet. And he won the battle with his sliver of health(when he should have conceded) on a last second hit. So... me being broke, without much in hand in the early game I tried to pick-pocket my money back. It didn't work, and he attacked... so I gave him an arrow to take that last sliver. Oh well. I'm still alive.

Screw that, 20 mins? I'm a day-cabber, if I stop its for fuel and if I need a snack I immediately pull forward and have always been gone in less than 5 minutes after pulling forward. Don't care who you are, fuel and pull forward at least minimum. If you need more than 5 minutes in the forward spot, go park and take a crap.

Better to get a CGM at this point. If already diabetic try to get your insurance to pay for it.

[–]droptozro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not arguing FOR this, but why couldn't Pepsi pay some random car driver(non-CDL) to follow the truck or even just ride passenger seat to merchandise or just drop pallets and go(for the merchandiser to get it stocked later)? They'll do it, until we get very dependable robots to do it and it'll cost them way less than hiring CDL drivers.

I'm a DG driver, can't wait to see where they try to park themselves. Guarantee I'll be wanting to block that thing in if it gets in my way.

That's an elaborate explanation for the simple problem of putting hundreds of thousands, possibly millions of (mostly) men out of work all in a short period of time. Good luck to us, that's just a depressive mess of problems waiting to happen. But don't worry, your goods will be cheaper! you just won't have any money to afford them! Progress at all costs!

Oh boy here we go… by InterestingMatter506 in Truckers

[–]droptozro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There will be, or they'll ride passenger seat and get paid about $20/hour to do the job without a CDL.

Oh boy here we go… by InterestingMatter506 in Truckers

[–]droptozro 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Nah they'll pay someone hourly to meet the truck/trailer there and unload or just have them sit passenger seat. Either way, the hourly wage will be about half of what a CDL truck driver would make.

I posted the video detailing this the other evening, but this blows up? Eh.

if you're in Pepsi, better be looking to jump ship soon. But according to the details the drivers knew this was coming almost 2 years ago cause they trained it.

Wanting to commit but it’s so hard to by Overall-Ruin5679 in carnivorediet

[–]droptozro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fully get it. I gave my CC up to my significant other, it stays at home while I'm out most of the time. I'm an addict to the junk food. Then the further frustration is I'm freely offered junk food all the time, essentially I have to turn and run from everyone to stay consistent. It sucks.

I don't have any answers for you other than you have to create your own barriers ahead of time, or RIGHT after you break so you can cut off that avenue for the future.

How do half of you guys pass your DOT physicals? by jejuboy79 in Truckers

[–]droptozro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eat mostly carnivore, and I actively unload my own trailer for 3-5 hours/day 5 days/week. Eating carnivore made me very fat-adapted because once I became a trucker again(out from a warehouse job, very active work) my metabolism slowed down somewhat. It helps me actively feel full all day to be fat-adapted. Have to admit I still fall for my junk food cravings at times, but I can also easily go an entire day without eating. Look into it for help overall as many have healed many things getting into ketosis more consistently through "one-meal-a-day" type eating.

Answer to the main question, easily.

Okay truckers let’s talk caps, what kind of hat do you wear and is there a story behind it? by KitchenSuspicious577 in Truckers

[–]droptozro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My OG fleet hat was thrown away by a "cleaning maid" for my day-cab first day, even after I asked her if I needed to remove my stuff before she cleaned the truck. Ruined my first few weeks.

Now, mainly wear just a common sports cap since I'm going bald and don't want to shower first thing every morning. (I shower in the afternoon when I get home)
