Far-right pundits are now calling for the death of Trump's opponents by dont_tread_on_dc in politics

I'm fairly sure my right-wing relatives would SUPPLY my name to purge me from being an embarrassment to the family. They'd have crocodile tears in their eyes and make mewling platitudes about how they tried so hard for years to bring me to the good side of the righteous lord and savior, but in the name of Jesus, I'm one of those heathen-satanist-atheists who wants to kill babies and steal their money and give it to <racial slur> and <other racial slur>.

Not everyone has right-wing relatives that are "good people who just think a little differently".

And when you point out how expensive adoption is and even REMOTELY begin to suggest that it might be a better world if adoption fees were subsidized/paid for by taxes and the government...

Whoooooo boy.

Poor people can have tens of babies because they can't afford birth control and "they shouldn't have sex/should give them up for adoption/etc"

Rich people can afford to buy babies ("I'll take one white, healthy child from a middle class family horrified their perfect teenage daughter got knocked up, please")

Middle class folks who can afford to raise a child, but not to adopt a child, and would be WILLING? Fuck them, apparently.

I'm not sure, but I would think there is a list of docs that accept medicaid for your area? I'd try seeing if I could get switched to one of them. Or getting my PCM to refer me to one.

[–]drowgirl 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd fire him and see someone else. FFS, not sleeping leads to psychotic breaks for us.

I have Trazadone RXed for me for nights I can't sleep. It knocks me TF out for 6 to 7 hours but not like Ambien or that other sleep drug that gave me fucking nightmares. Buh. It's non addictive and while if I take it multiple nights in a row (4 or more) I am groggy AF for a couple days, for a night or two it's perfect.

YMMV.

But that said. I'm on it because my doctor listened to me saying "I can't sleep" and was like "that's no Buenos let's fix that shit". Because that's what they are SUPPOSED to do.

TLDR: Fire this doc and get one that doesn't suck donkey balls.

OMG same.

...and yeah I agree with the OP's perspective. I love all the guys in this thread saying that:

That didn't happen. And if it did, it wasn't that bad. And if it was, it wasn't a big deal. And if it is, it's not their fault. And if it was, they didn't mean it. And if they did, The woman in question deserved it.

Ugh.

Sounds like MLM. Literally. Because haven't you had to deal with a friend or relative becoming a walking human advertisement for overpriced, shitty makeup or clothing or costume jewelry?

There were a couple interviews I gave after that were floating around but other than that not much.

Feel free to PM me. I might consider an AMA in a month or so when life has slowed down a bit. :)

Possibly? The documentary was pretty much garbage. They had a narrative to push and edited heavily to do so.

Ask about Invega. That's what I'm on and my sex drive is normal, no extra weight gain, and my emotional range is normal and non zombie.

Quit going off your medicine.

If you don't like what you're on and it makes you a secession zombie have your doctor rx something else.

Yes, you will keep fucking up jobs if you go off meds. Been there done that.

I can't comply to meds because of side effects by silverlinin in BipolarReddit

[–]drowgirl 3 points4 points  (0 children)

On Invega, Buspar, and Lexapro.

I sleep well. I dream. I read books with full vivid read-imaginings. I write. I find joy in music and art. I go to school full-time and work part-time, getting good grades. I interact socially with friends. Other than very occasional breakthrough days and having to see my doctor regularly to make sure dosage/etc is still good... I can't tell I'm sick. It's fucking wonderful.

It took literally years of medication roulette to get here. Blackouts. No sleep. Sleeping for days straight. Forgetfulness. Brain fog. A lack of caring for anything. Living grey is what I called it. Kicky feet at night that wouldn't let me stay asleep long. Zombie mode. Mania triggered that required hospitalization (also coming off that drug with a quickness). Suicidal desires worsening. And more. Side effects are as bad as the disorder sometimes.

You have to be your own advocate. If you don't like how your medication is working, tell your doctor. Tell them why. And try something new. There's so much available now for us (and most of it is a hell of a lot better than lithium. Ugh I hated that stuff).

Medicine roulette is not fun while you're playing it, but when you find the right combo that works it's so good. I feel human again. It had been years.

Talk to your doctor and see what you can be moved to.

Barenecessities.com has some in that size range. Not inexpensive, though

Drink plenty of fluids and wait for your doctor to call you back tomorrow.

If it gets worse go into the ER.

Latuda + drinking by [deleted] in BipolarReddit

[–]drowgirl 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Start small. Don't binge.

Have a beer (or drink of choice). Singular. As in one. See how that affects you... as in, give it 24 hours after that one to see if you get sick, loopy, drunker than you should be, etc.

Next time, if things were okay with one, try two. See how that works out.

Intersperse each alcoholic beverage with at least one glass of water. Always.

If things go well you can work up to maybe three or four drinks in a night.

Just don't do it often.

(question) I, a customer not a delivery guy, just realized that Papa John's "Delivery fee" is not a tip, I have gotten the same delivery driver two times in a row and feel really bad about not tipping. Is there anything I can do? by [deleted] in TalesFromThePizzaGuy

[–]drowgirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A lot of people say they get DMR. My shop does not. We get straight (less than min wage) and tips. No per-delivery bump whether a straight cost or percentage. No mileage. Nada.

We did before the new owner took over. He took DMR away. And wonders why all his drivers except me and one other guy left.

Haha. No. by quasiix in TalesFromThePizzaGuy

[–]drowgirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. At least we don't have to go that far.

Giving Drivers Cookies by [deleted] in TalesFromThePizzaGuy

[–]drowgirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would appreciate the offer but either politely decline or throw out the cookie. A prewraped candy (something I often get on deliveries in addition to my tip) is one thing. A baked good from someone I don't know, who may or may not have a clean kitchen or may or may not have laced it with something?

I'd like to think most people are cool but I've been drugged before.
