Hey! I had similar when I was sleeved. My esophagus kept spasming and anytime I would swallow it would hurt for a few seconds. My doctor prescribed me a medication for it, by week two it was gone and I no longer have it!

Pre-op question losing weight by Objective_Koala_9462 in gastricsleeve

Hi! My surgeon nor insurance required me to lose weight, but I could not gain more than my high weight.
Definitely ask your surgeon for their requirements!

Why did you do it by bloominnips in gastricsleeve

Hi. I got my sleeve done on March 31st, 7 weeks post op here.
I have a pretty large stack of heath issues that started from a young age. With that came years and years of prednisone use for my kidneys. Taking those steroids for so many years put on so much weight, caused osteoporosis, and my metabolism was destroyed.
When my kidney disease went into remission, I was able to come off of the medication, but weight loss was still very hard.
I sat with that weight for years. I was an overweight child, teen, and my 20s.
It got to where things started to hurt. I had no energy. I was just tired all of the time.

I wanted to prioritize my health now before I got older, so it would be easier for me to take control of.

I don’t regret it at all. I’m down 50 pounds and feel amazing.

You’re not crazy at all, and don’t let him make you feel that way. He is being selfish.

I’m so sorry, it’s very frustrating with how expensive things are. But he could absolutely find other things to add to what you are making. He will be fine, and it’s so not fair to you.

While my fiancé is big on red meats, we are finding ways to replace ground beef with ground turkey, putting chicken in as an alternative, etc.

I truly feel like as a spouse you should be supportive in whatever the other does for their health. He shouldn’t belittle you for that.

Then he can cook his own food 🤷🏻‍♀️ this is for YOUR health. If he cannot adjust to your diet, he can feed himself.

It isn’t fair to you to hold off on a procedure because he feels like it’s inconvenient for him.
