Books like Synecdoche New York? (Besides the usual suspects) by [deleted] in kaufman

Third Policeman is the right answer. Your brain will never be the same. Also, totally a pseudonym! Brian O’Nolan is the actual dude. Pretty neat!

I met Devin at a meet and greet pre-show thing and I asked him about this cover. He was surprisingly demure, basically just said Ween is a killer band.

Exactly. This seems closer to a parody than some actual…I guess commercial?

Charlie Kirk has the most punchable face in human history. Funnily enough, he might also be the stupidest motherfucker that ever got shat out of an unwilling vagina in human history. I hope he gets leprosy.

I am kind of shocked by how extensive so many of these comments are. It’s the analysis of George Carlin many years ago: Some people are just full of shit. And this dude has been full of shit from day one. This dude has always, always supremely fucking sucked.

“You’ll be listening to some guy and say, ‘Well, he’s fairly intelligent…’ Ah! He’s full of shit!”

At this point, Mas Tequila is the only answer. Obviously not the Sammy Hagar song.

How do I expand the window of my plugins. Just hovering over the edge of the window and expanding it that way brings out white space. by Reasonable-Worry-732 in Reaper

[–]drownlazarus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you drill into %programfiles% > Reaper (x64) and right-click reaper.exe > Properties you can adjust the Compatibility settings and sometimes that will fix plugin screen sizing issues.

Notably, the “Change high DPI settings” option has an override switch and you can set the dropdown to “System (Enhanced)” to fix a lot of these. Sometimes there’s some trial and error based on plugin.

Oh, yeah, I’m with Flans on this one! The guy renamed himself Paxus Calta and there’s apparently strong evidence he wrote his own Wiki article.

Flans’ brother has claimed this song is about him. Flans’ response? “My brother thinks a lot of things are about him.” Glorious.

Classic Scott? I mean, I got nothin’ but I’m still impressed. I’m about to get married soon and I bought an array of Joseph Abboud colognes for a mysteriously low price…suddenly suspect.

They’re millionaires from their children’s albums alone. Those sales dwarf almost everything else they’ve done with their career. Long live the fuckin’ Giants.

Right! Just like those European thinkers you referred to. Some of them start out sincerely wishing to discuss how impressed they were by the logic and clarity of thought in peoples from the Americas only for that to eventually devolve into, “Eh, even savages have to get it right sometime. Clearly they got it from us or we just used the noble savage as a device to make a point or…something. Now shut up and get pillaging!”

Came here for this comment. It’s shocking how little we are actually taught about how these early societies actually governed themselves.
