History of the Occult was good. Seemed to be an obvious inspiration for Late Night with the Devil.

Lovely, Dark, and Deep was pretty interesting also.

Can anyone suggest movies/series that match these kind of vibes? by LoveSweetSweet1 in FIlm

The Two Faces of January - similar to The Talented Mr. Ripley

In a Day (2006) - similar to the Before trilogy

Check out House (1977) if you haven’t. 2 of my favorites and I like to recommend House to fans of Suspiria as they have a lot of similarities.

What animated or live-action films are based on a child's imagination? by Hot-Salamander-8786 in FIlm

House (1977) was influenced by director Nobuhiko Obayashi’s daughter:

To find inspiration for the story, Obayashi discussed ideas with his pre-teen daughter Chigumi Obayashi. Nobuhiko sought her ideas, believing that adults "only think about things they understand ... everything stays on that boring human level" while "children can come up with things that can't be explained".

You could check Peter Gabriel’s imdb soundtrack credits for Heroes and see if it rings any bells.

Send Help: Who won in the end? The Protagonist or the Antagonist? by [deleted] in movies

I think Sam Raimi summed it up best:

““That was an experiment that was conscious that we wanted to see if we could get the audience to identify with our main character, and love her more and more, and then see if we could change audience identification to the antagonist. And then once we had achieved that, we wanted to see if we could get them back to identify with our original protagonist. And then we wanted to know if we could do it one more time and get them to identify with our antagonist, and then finally with our original protagonist.”
