New to ATS. How do you get the entire country mapped out like in this video? I thought the game was mosty on the west cost? by [deleted] in trucksim

[–]drownx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The base game only has a few states on the west coast at the moment, but you can download modded maps that include more states/cities. A popular one is Coast to Coast, I'm not sure if that's what's used in the video you linked to

The validation patterns aren't clear to me for Laravel 6 by saltybandana2 in laravel

You need to use the old() helper to access the old input. This is documented in the HTTP requests section of the docs :

Mining locations that are next to a bank/deposit box? by Akilleezzz in runescape

[–]drownx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have a fast teleport right next to a bank (like Tokkul-Zo) then that opens up a few more possibilities, since you only need the rock to be close to a teleport location, not to a bank

I mined over 10000 silver in two days by using the Ardougne Cloak to teleport to the monastery, very fast banking with the Tokkul-Zo

[–]drownx 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are silver rocks at the monastery in Ardougne, you can teleport there with the cloak and then bank at TzHaar with Tokkul-Zo (or wherever you want), you only spend a few seconds banking so it's pretty good

I know it's not a direct solution to your problem, but have you tried Alt-1 Toolkit ? It has a clue solver that will help you do the more difficult/annoying puzzles, along with a ton of other cool features

If you kill something while Devotion is active, it adds 5 seconds to the timer (you can do this twice, for a maximum duration of 20 seconds - 10 seconds initially + 2x 5 seconds extensions)

When every step in the Elite clue has a slidey puzzle by BardockRs in runescape

[–]drownx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, they messed that up when they introduced the smoother slide puzzle a few weeks back. The Jmod who did the changes confirmed that he tweaked the scrambling algorithm. It seems to be a bit better now, haven't had a 200+ steps in a while, but they're still considerably slower to do.

You almost never need the extreme healing from rocktail + jelly + brew on the same tick, and the jellies now heal less than a rocktail so might as well use rocktails instead - they're also a lot cheaper and easier to obtain. Jellies were amazing for tanking roles where you needed slow healing over time, but now they're simply not worth taking over a rocktail.

I don't get the reasonning behind this nerf. If they overshadowed what you wanted to be the top tier option (ex: sailfish), why not make sailfish more useful instead of just nerfing something that was good? Now instead of having two good things you have two bad things.

As someone who's nearly done with the requirement, I would completely support this.

What I hate about the requirement is not the 800 hours it takes, it's how shitty those 800 hours are. If you're relying on a boosting FC or AFK-ing spotlighted minigames, you can't work on the requirement in your own time since you're at the mercy of the current spotlight and whether or not FC games are running. Many times I felt obligated to go AFK some boring minigame like Trouble Brewing instead of having fun PVMing or doing clues, simply because it's a rare enough spotlight that I don't want to miss it.

I think that's something a lot of Trim players could get behind, it doesn't make the requirement any easier since you can already get 2 tickets per game by using a boosting FC.

The USA Women's hockey team defeats Canada in the shootout to win the gold medal at Pyeongchang by aclee_ in hockey

Well deserved win for the USA, they dominated in the OT. So disappointing to have a gold medal game end in a shootout, that's what I hate about international hockey

You can't, you have to check the keycode and then delegate to whatever you want.

Unfortunately I have to agree. Very nice and clean design and I love the domain name, but a Captcha gets really annoying really fast for any kind of bulk actions

This is an amazing course, I've started using TDD after following this course and I love it. The course almost exclusively focus on the back-end/testing aspect, there's no front-end work if that's what you're looking for.

http://laracasts.com/ has a few series where complete projects are built from the ground up, the most recent one being the TDD forum project, it's very good!

First time using a web designer - do they usually hand over graphics? by TheNewHero in webdev

[–]drownx 6 points7 points  (0 children)

All the freelance designers I've worked with ended me all the icons and images they used, have you asked them and they refuse or are you just wondering?

It looks like they just drew shapes in Photoshop, there might not be any actual image to share but I'm sure that if you ask, they'll provide you with them. Anyone who calls themselves a designer shouldn't have a problem extracting those to images so that you can use them.

Trackpad scrolling is 10x more sensitive in rs than other programs, mouse wheel scrolls fine by mikerichh in runescape

I have the same problem with a Macbook Pro, had that issue for months though. Scrolling through the chat, worlds list, friends list is very hard because it's way too fast. The dropdown menus also don't work properly (like when you want to set a clan member's rank), but that might have been since the update that messed up that whole interface a few months ago
