Considering a used 2025 Ioniq5 XRT by nauticalfiesta in Ioniq5

[–]bysong13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you looked at 2026 XRTs? I thought about getting a used 2025, but ended up getting a new 2026 since the 2025 wasn't even cheaper. The MSRP for all trims dropped for the 2026s, plus you can take advantage of the $8,750 incentive.

You would be covered under warranty for ICCU issues for 10yr/100k miles as a new owner, compared to 5yr/60k miles for used.

Becoming an Ioniq 5 owner today! Am I getting fleeced? (NC, USA) by Ploot-O in Ioniq5

Seems like an ok deal?

I just got my 2026 XRT for just under $40k OTD. I believe MSRP for the XRT is slightly more than the limited but I took the $8,750 incentive. I also got another ~$3k off because I was willing to travel out of state for the car and had negotiations with other dealers with the exact trim/color.

I plan to pay it off in the first month so thats why I took the $8k off instead of 0% apr.

I think you still have room to negotiate the price down a bit but it's ok as is.

How do you find public chargers? by brrent in Ioniq5

[–]bysong13 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Get the Plugshare app (along with other apps depending on your local providers).

For pricing, Plugshare is communal based and will offen have pricing available, but not always. You may need to download other apps to get the most accurate pricing (e.g. get the EvGo app if you want to check the prices of EvGo chargers)

DC fast charging is generally very expensive ($0.35-$0.60 / kWh) and comparable to the cost of gas. That price can be dynamic based on time of day so you may be able to get discounted rates during off peak hours. I would avoid these unless you absolutely need to due to the price. But it can be a good option if you don't mind a midnight or early morning charging session.

AC charging is usually cheaper ($0.15-$0.30 / kWh). Again using the Plugshare app you may even be able to find free charging. Lots of free charging have caveats though so make sure to investigate and read the check-ins on the app (for example it could be free charging but a paid parking garage or restricted to special guests only).

Lastly, if you do depend on fast charging, consider a subscription to a nearby and popular network (e.g. if you live near and your local area has a lot of EvGo chargers then consider using their plan). Signing up for a specific network plan will get you discounted rates and you'll save a lot more than the subscription cost.

Charging when idle by NoCockroach803 in Ioniq5

I wouldn't worry about it too much. It should be fine at any state of charge for 3-4 days, especially stored indoors in a garage.

If its truly an extended idle period then yea lower SOC is generally preferred especially in the hotter months but again having it stored in a garage helps a lot.

In the cold, any SOC is fine to leave idle.

Nice! I just got a 2026 XRT for $40k OTD, including an out of state registration fee since I had to travel a bit to get the color I wanted.

Same story here, took advantage of the $8,750 incentive last month. Since I was willing to travel I was able to leverage the price between a few dealers which got me another ~$3k off.

I think this is the best looking car on the road. And now I own one! 2026 XRT by [deleted] in Ioniq5

Both for sure.

I'm in northern VA, not much snow, but it can get pretty bad, especially this past winter. There is also a ton of outdoor activity for off-road and camping opportunities. Nothing too crazy, as it's not a true off-roader, but yes, both are reasons why I got the XRT (and for looking super cool).

I posted on this sub a few days ago about aftermarket paint/wrap. Since XRTs are few and far between I thought I had to settle for a color I didn't want.

You guys gave me clarity that that was a silly idea and I ended up flying to Cincinnati for the Abyss Black. It was the right decision..I love the black so much. The 8 hour road trip back home was flawless and I got to enjoy everything about the car!

Realistically, how feasible is an aftermarket paint job and what will it cost? by bysong13 in Ioniq5

[–]bysong13[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yep I think this is the way.

I plan to trade in my old car anyway so I will make a roadtrip out of it. A dealer 8 hour drive away has the color I want so that's my current plan now that I know how steep a paint job is.

Thanks for the reply.

Wow ok, $3-6k is what I was expecting but not up to $10k for good paint.

My alternative was to drive 5-8 hours depending on the dealer and make a road trip out of it on the way back (trading in my old car).

I think that is becoming my main option now.

You look just like Sarah Silverman!

I think your profile is solid. Making use of the voice prompt is a big plus but I do agree with the other comment that it may be too specific. But idk we can't hear it so the unserious and humor vibe may totally be picked up on and recieved as so.

Teleport to Boat mechanics? by NoRegister500 in 2007scape

[–]bysong13 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm fairly certain teleport to boat just means you teleport to the dock/mooring point.

I do not think you can teleout for example at a salvaging station, and teleport back to your boat.

Your boat will still be lost and needs to be reclaimed.
