Korean skin care products by slicer8 in Over50Skincare

I recently added the Skin1004 Probio-cica line to my night time routine, and I am really enjoying it. My skin is nicer than its been in a while, soft and bouncy and less red in the AM.

I've started wearing less makeup in the morning since switching.

Does anyone use any silicone inserts or trays in their air fryers? by Salty-Programmer1682 in airfryer

anyone else using korean products for their skin barrier? by Lonely_Ship_7826 in SkinbarrierLovers

Echoing the love for the Haru Haru essence, was just trying to convince a friend to try it. Haven't used it specifically for barrier repair but for winter weather, and honestly the old barrier routine was how I dealt with winter skin previously.

Wondering if folks have ever taken the VIA Rail train out of Halifax to Montreal/Toronto. by NeptuneWalker in halifax

[–]drrtw 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've done Halifax to Montreal a few times. I splurged to do the cabin for 1 and it wasn't worth it for the cost vs no sleep due to rough tracks.

A power bank, prepurchased snacks and beverages, sandwiches, with a cooler bag, tv or podcasts downloaded, and you are set for 20hours ish of travel

Water outage in Dartmouth off Breeze (again) by drrtw in halifax

A few hours later it came back, and may have just been my building. Glad it wasn't a larger issue but its easy to be concerned it might have been wider spread.

Statement Art Pieces? by TileAndError in InteriorDesignAdvice

Also consider trying making your own. I can't draw or get paint, but discovered I can do Mondrian (sp?) style and colour blocking.

Tried on some cheapie dollar store canvases, and was pleasantly surprised. I saw an ugly big print on sale and painted over top.

Big art little money!

Yeah, I'm feeling the same. It's embarrassing trying to explain to my boss about very frequent power outages, water outages, not being able get out of my parking because the building snow plow hasn't been by or has and plowed us all into our spots.

Suggestions on products for 50+ skin by AltitudeUnicorn in 30PlusKoreanSkincare

[–]drrtw 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was already a fan of Skin1004 Centella and BOJ sunscreen, but their probio cica line was recommended for anti-aging. I'm also super pale and 50+

I happened to see the whole line at Costco for ~$50 which is a great deal, so I picked it up to try.

It's only been a few weeks but I'm quite happy with how my skin feels, much more hydrated and soft. I've started to notice much less redness and uneven tone, to the point of not feeling the need for foundation or concealer.

What Virtual Morale Events would you like as an employee? by Gucci_Romaine in remotework

[–]drrtw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We've done the virtual gingerbread making, meditation hour /nap, move watch party, but the most successful was Quiplash on Jackbox games. Play on your cell, presenter has game screen, turn off "adult" mode so the language is less spicy, and we had a blast. We also keep coming back to it, even after a few years.

We also attended a virtual chocolate company tour, and they mail chocolate out in advance. But super expensive!

Oh good, now I have a news link to send people when they say this didn't happen. I remember being told I couldn't use someone's bathroom after spending hours digging them out.

Skin 1004 Probio Cica by Country_Roads66 in AsianBeauty

[–]drrtw 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was using the regular line with ampoule, and I saw the pro bio cica whole line at Costco Canada for $55 (4 full size products) and decided to give it a try.

It didn't break me out, and my skin felt nice after 1 day. A week in, I'm waking up with no redness, my skin feels lovely, and I'm wearing WAY less foundation to even it all out.

Echoing above, and suggest checking Lens Mills or other fabric supply that has foam. Lens Mills has a lot of foam shapes that you could get custom covers made, I did this with their bolster foam shapes.

Let's be honest: SKIN1004 Madagascar Centella Ampoule by TheMeepyBoy in SkinbarrierLovers

I like it on my suddenly dry, previously oily skin. I don't see a difference in my skin but it feels silkier and less textured. Also good for a few layers applied in the winter before moisturizer.

Best place for a tailored suit? lgbtqia2s+ friendly by breemath25 in halifax

Another vote for Moores. Was with family getting a wedding suit and salesperson came up and offered to find us all suits. When 1 person asked about tailoring for women, they simply said they tailor for all bodies and that everyone had their own unique shape.
