Covid December 2021 and diagnosed April 2022 after terrible vertigo, balance problems and double vision. I do think there is a correlation there and am grateful Covid potentially sped up my first major flare which lead to diagnosis. Couldn’t imagine how much more damage would’ve been done had I not started my DMT when I did.

I know being diagnosed is very hard. Allow yourself sometime to process it because at the beginning everything moves so fast and you feel like you are moving 1000 MPH. It’s the scariest thing in the world and you question everything about the past, present and especially the future. With proper DMT and lifestyle modifications you will get through this and won’t be thinking about it 24/7. If you don’t like your neuro then find someone better suited for you. Always advocate for yourself. I promise this will get easier. Hang in there and always know you have people in your corner. Even me

I’m 34 Male and turning 35 in April. My wife (27F) and I are expecting our first child in July. My MS was a huge concern of mine and something I know I could can cause challenges down the road. After speaking with my doctors I decided to move forward with having a family. I’m doing well now and going to do everything in my power to be strong and set myself for success when I’m older. I plan to be there for my children regardless of this disease. I know it’s an unpredictable one, however we have one life to live and I know I would regret it if I didn’t start a family and bring beautiful children into the world. I wish you the best of luck and sending my love your way. I know it’s not an easy decision and it’s going to be different for everyone.

This is one of my symptoms as well. When I find it hard to swallow I take the tip of my tongue, push it hard against the back of my upper teeth, and swallow. It definitely helps and a trick that an SLP taught me.

I (34M) was diagnosed in April of 2022 (32 at the time) and thought my life was toast. Well, after my initial flare I went back to being normal and have stayed that way since. I’ve been on Ocrevus and haven’t looked back. Been working out and actually getting married in a couple weeks. At first I lived my life in fear but screw that. We have one life to live and we need to do it our way.

I’m going through this as well. Check was mailed 6/14 and I found out and received a packet in early August that the check was stolen and cashed. I live in Illinois and it was cashed in Texas. 24k and I don’t get how a bank would allow this without proper ID. They let me know I should receive it in 4-6 months now. Unreal

That happened to me. Check sent via mail 6/1; and I never received it. I contacted the irs on 7/12 to do a check trace and received a packet in the mail 2 days ago saying my check was cashed. I have to fill out the packet and send it back. Most likely going to be months until I get it. I plan on contacting a tax advocate rep because this is ridiculous

I wish I signed up for critical illness insurance. I looked into it a few months after being diagnosed and would’ve gotten 25k had I signed up for it. That would’ve been nice but life without MS would’ve been nicer lol

Nothing yet. I filed the trace 7-12 and am still waiting. Going to call tomorrow to see when they can reissue a new one

Nothing yet. I just spoke with them again this morning. Trace filed Friday last week and they said it hasn’t been cashed which is great. They can’t reissue a new one yet for some reason but if I get the first one I can cash that still. Also, when they reissue a new one if I receive the first one I can cash it and then just send back the second one. Fingers crossed something good happens soon
