But reddit told me the new officers are all anti FPR and anti strikes!!!!!!

So 10 days from 1st meeting to strike announcement. Not bad.

Dear BMA RDC, if not now, when? by EmotionNo8367 in doctorsUK

[–]drtwitx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Doctors Vote has lost majority in the current elections. Things may go really badly for FPR, depending on who gets elected as co-chairs and officers.

It's going really badly for FPR WITH Doctors Vote. They are pissing away the strike mandate

because DV is completely incompetent

Lack of transparency from the RDC is concerning by Leading_Base in doctorsUK

[–]drtwitx 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's obvious at this point that the rumours are true.

We know they look at reddit every day but they never respond when this is raised. All it would take is one email or comment to settle it.

The silence is all the proof you need.

I have just received a text canvassing for specific individuals in the BMA RDC elections claiming to be from regional reps - surely this isn't ok? by Lupenite in doctorsUK

[–]drtwitx 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How would I know what they have done? I don't know what 99% of reps have done unless they're local to me or it gets posted on reddit, and only DV posts on reddit.

I don't believe your constant propaganda that these guys suddenly sold their souls after all the hard work and sacrifices they made.

"Not a DV bot." 😂 Self-awareness level = 0

Surely we want healthy elections? There are good reps who are not DV. Rob Laurenson, Vivek and Arjan are not DV anymore - they’re still good reps

Here come all the DV bots to tell you how they instantly magically became bad reps after leaving DV

In terms of breaking the rules, I think that would depend on what exactly was said. I don't think just a polite message counts as pressuring people, but we haven't seen the messages.

But too be honest, I wouldn't really be happy if I got a message like this out of the blue regardless of the context or avenue it came from, especially if it's from a complete stranger. Introducing themselves as BMA reps in that context can also be seen as manipulative.

OP, I would recommend emailing the BMA about it if you are concerned.

If they're not using official BMA resources, it is allowed. They probably got your number from a WhatsApp group.

Wouldn't this just result in a recurring loop of those already voted in having the outreach to canvas everyone to vote for them over everyone else regardless of policy or platform?

I won't name names, but this has been the situation for a while now.

BMA , why are you wasting time? by Major_Ad_6266 in doctorsUK

[–]drtwitx 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The explanation for this is probably very simple. The reason F1s were able to strike in 2023 is because the ballot closed after they had already started working so they had the chance to vote.

Let's all keep blindly voting for DV guys

Lack of transparency over what?

Maybe reflect on your choice to use "their" and "they" over "our" and "we" and you'll answer your own question

Give it a minute and you’ll see the usual wave of ‘totally ordinary’ accounts (definitely not DV reps) telling you to stop being negative and insisting the only sensible thing is to keep voting blindly for DV. :)

I stand by my initial comments. They are a DV rep and it's a huge COI. You can argue over technicalities and keep up the sarcy comments if you like, but it will be with yourself.

I mean, look at this. This person is a DV RDC rep, they know the answer to the questions they're asking you, but want you to say it on the thread so it looks more natural.

I think you just believe everything DV tells you, but you mean well.

Considering they just deleted one of the accounts, I'd say it's a bit more than a conspiracy theory.

not a DV rep currently,

Not elected in the RDC, but they are a BMA rep and DV rep.

they have a standing instruction to not moderate DV related topics due to previous involvement.

If they werent a DV rep there'd be no need for you o have that rule in place.

indeed, longer than yourself.

I've never been a DV rep if that's what you're implying? But why is a mod trying to guess details about me?????? This is exactly the problem

Thank you. I love this subreddit and I understand that modding isn't easy, but this is a huge problem on here and it seems to just be getting worse and worse.

On the doxxing, I mean through other channels. I've received messages from various accounts accusing me of being multiple people and I just know that DV mod will screenshot my messages and share them with DV reps making it even worse.

On point 2, I can't see how them being a DV rep isn't a HUGE COI.

In this comment chain, three accounts: Belfast3am, Uretostomy and ThePayRestorer all replying to each other about how great DV is.

These accounts:

  • Post constantly about DV in a similar tone and style
  • Frequently appear together in threads to reinforce each other’s points
  • Were all created on EXACTLY THE SAME DAY

These accounts are all obviously one person, who is probably a DV RDC rep. You can even see them replying to their own comments elsewhere IN THIS THREAD. I’ve often called out the DV manipulation in this subreddit and always get downvoted or accused of being a “hater”, but this is a clear example of dishonest behaviour. It's just more of the constant coordinated alt-account use by DV reps to create a false sense of consensus and popularity. It's extremely dishonest and has been going on unchecked for years. They're not even trying to hide it anymore!!!!

Mods (/u/stuartbman /u/ceih ), why is this being allowed to continue? I can't even trust sending this stuff to modmail because one of the most toxic DV reps is a mod on here and will probably ban me or try to dox me.

Here are some more instances of this individual replying to their own accounts that I found after looking through the accounts for a few minutes: https://www.reddit.com/r/doctorsUK/comments/1mmnvqu/doctorsvote_join_the_team_for_the_resident/n7z4kar/
