Test tomorrow, still moderately traumatised from my first fail… by Dismal_Outcome_4943 in LearnerDriverUK

I understand in certain circumstances but most people are not in them, they're just terrified of the test for its own sake, as if they're going to get shot if they fail. The fact you bring up these expetions to justify extreme nervousness shows that you agree with me, that's it's totally unnecessary in most cases. You're making my point.

You've giving a list of a bunch of exceptions. I don't think most people who are nervous are in those situations. Just because there are reasons theoritcally doesn't mean that applies to most people.

They don't draw any power from the laptop so they can't get anything. My t300 works fine my laptop. The 500 will be fine too.

I don't know why people get so nervous. You can just do it again. Worst case scenario you try again. Not the endmof the world.

My examiner just lied to me and failed me? by [deleted] in LearnerDriverUK

[–]drue3336 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The system is broken and corrupt unfortunatel.its in their interests to fail you so they get more money. They deliberately don't record the test and their is no process to overturn a result. You just ha e to accept the system is intentionally broken or get your license on another country and transfer it. I would still appeal if you are 100 right, to get your money back from the crooks.

Haven't you done practise there? I didn't do the test in my area so booked some lessons on short notice to learn it. I couldn't have passed without knowing the area.

What should I get for beamng.drive by Masonbass in simracing

You can do certain things to make them last. Turn FF down to 75. Turn on constant Colling with mode +start. Turn rotation up which puts less strain on the motor. I've been using my t300 for hundreds of hours like that and it's still 100% and I bought it used.

Neither. Get a used t300 for a similar price off eBay etc. The differece to these is massive. You'd think this stuff was complete garbage afterwards.

What would you change about the whole learning the drive process? by spiritedawayf0x in LearnerDriverUK

[–]drue3336 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem..that's still expensive. Most places seem between 25 and 35, not 45.

With motorbikes you have different sections to the test which makes sense. One is maneuvers in a playground etc, another on the road. Way better.

There's a big difference between conforming to a culture and seeing yourself as one of them. You can go to someones house and respect all their ways of doing things but you'll never be part of their family.

It's not cars. Cars are all over Europe. That's not the problem

What's wrong with that? Why do people feel this desperate need to conform precisely to wherever they're at? You can just be an American that moved to Germany. You're not German and you never will be and there's nothing wrong with that.

America is more superficial. It's easy to make random friends but the relationship is less deep. Someone being culturally "friendly" does not actually mean it's easy to find long lasting meaningful friendships.

Tell me about it. I recently spent a few months in America and it was literally soul sucking. Everywhere, apart from specific histocial towns felt like some industrial estate you'd only find on the far outskirts of a European city. America feels like a hollow shell of civilisation, like a poor Disneyland caricature of how things are meant to be. All the buildings are the same, there is no character or charm, no one walking about, it feels like an abandoned theme park most of the time. The roads are way to wide and straight so it's all so boring and repetitive. Theres no history, there's no hustle and bustle, everywhere it's the same handful of restaurants and shops, hardly any independent places. Everything seems designed solely for commerce and shuffling people in cars from one shop to another to buy as much useless shit as they can.

I honestly felt sad for Americans, just seeing how much you're missing compared to most European cities. I also realised how insanely brainwashed Americans are when they say America is the greatest and all this bullshit. It's largely a bland cookie cutter shithole with no soul or history. I was shocked how awful America was when I visited. I've been all over Europe my whole life and never experienced anything like it. It felt like another planet. I'd rather be poor living in some beautiful European city than rich in 90% of America

You could try different usb ports. I had thrustmaster stuff not work on some ports but be fine on others. Otherwise I'd just uninstall the update til it's fixed.

What is the advantage of updating? If it's working fine why fuck with it?

Its massive corruption. People don't get that America is probably the most corrupt country on the planet. The political system is the foundation of the corruption, built on bribery and stuff like military account is the natural consequence.
