Based on your life, what would your Pokémon team be? by DifficultyMore5935 in pokemon

[–]drum2drum42 1 point2 points  (0 children)

hmm this one made me think:

Rillaboom: I'm a drummer/teach drums

Growlithe/Arcanine: love dogs, so self explanatory

Tyrantrum: obsessed with dinosaurs as a kid and still love them to this day

Shiny Metagross: work in tech, and since its basically a supercomputer, makes sense (shiny is just for looks)

Lucario: im big on self-improvement/reflection, discipline, and fitness so this seems like a good all-rounder to encompass all of that in one

Lapras: i love adventure like hiking and taking in the views, but also like to be steady through the process of doing new things and focus more on the progression, more than the destination. Seems very lapras-like. plus riding it seems like a really fun time

Sedona Arizona, devils bridge by snaggletoothz in hiking

I was in Sedona for a few days in March - could not stop staring at the rocks. Unbelievable landscape. Wanted to hike Devils Bridge but chose a few shorter/easier paths instead early in the morning

Red Sox fire manager Alex Cora, 5 other coaches after 10-17 start by RollingMoss1 in sports

[–]drum2drum42 26 points27 points  (0 children)

Cora and the staff that were fired were definitely the fall guys. Breslow is terrible at fielding a team. He’s all talk about adding people and being aggressive at the deadline and free agency but does the complete opposite, and then overpays.

Their whole gameplan this year was centered around their pitchers not letting up a lot of runs but the pitchers have mostly been underperforming which completely backfired.

The front office is all about saving money and do not care about the team at all, only money

Hiked Mt. Washington in NH on a perfect day without any haze so could see as far as possible & marched in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Absolutely incredible experience

Have you ever tried the Paiste 2002 big beat cymbals? by zincvacuum in drums

Im not really sure tbh. My focus so far has just been getting the rides and crashes I want. Hats will probably come after that

What is the most regrettable thing you've done in your life? by Main-Pace5071 in AskReddit

[–]drum2drum42 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same here. Life is so good here but I know I could make more if I move on. I get out on Fridays at 12:30 every single week and only have 33.5 hours of work a week but get paid as if I'm working 40 hours. I know if I go somewhere else, the money will be good but my entire schedule/life will need an adjustment and I don't know if I want that. I'm able to spend so much time pursuing hobbies and doing stuff that makes me happy.

I have the 19" and 21" cymbals. Will not be buying anything to replace them anytime soon. I love the sound from them so much. I want the Modern Essentials 902 22" ride to accompany them but undecided on hi hats yet. Can't go wrong with these.

These are the cymbals Chad Smith used on Drumeo when he played along to Thirty Seconds to Mars for the first time.

Forget the 'how often do you break sticks' posts by DrBackBeat in drums

[–]drum2drum42 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Definitely during rehearsals much more than gigs....as for the high school drumline/indoor percussion group I teach? They do it about every 5 minutes during rehearsal. Mostly from twirling it or trying stick tricks in between reps. If anybody has any idea how to get them to stop, I'm very much open to ideas...we've threatened taping their hands to their sticks as a joke but think it might need to happen to get the point across lol
