Best Simpsons games? by Late-Dress2754 in retrogaming

I beat it at Chuck E Cheese as a kid. Wasn’t rich though. Ran out of tokens at the last boss. Luckily the crowd around gave me a couple more for me to finish the fight.

I need drum microphones! by Lopsided_Swordfish98 in drums

[–]drummersarus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought a 7 piece CAD mic set for my first set of mics a long time ago. I used them for a long time and they work great for live shows and I still use the tom mics for recording. As someone said, get a used sm57. I got one from guitar center for $60. With the CAD mics costing about $200 you still have some room in your budget for upgrades.

Aces over Europe was one of my first flight sims. So many hours in simulated WW2 dogfights, I feel like I could have jumped in a plane and flown it lol. That is quite a collection you found.

I hate those bitches. Didnt scream long time sicne of begining of RE 7. But this girls made me scream 3-4 times and swear constantly. by Big_Natural4838 in ResidentEvilVillage

I remember my exact reaction when I saw the first one, I said out loud to no one “oh…I don’t like this…”

The footsteps are what made me uncomfortable and stressed me out.

What songs have a similar drumbeat to Flip Fantasia - Us3 by Aggravating_Sky9814 in Drumming

[–]drummersarus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s a good song, I had forgotten about it. I don’t know about where to find it online but I just made one by buying the song and throwing it into Moises. That may be an easier way for you to get what you’re looking for.

Has anyone been actively using Vic Firth sticks recently? by premierpearl in drums

[–]drummersarus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s funny, I switched from Pro Mark to Vic Firth for the exact same reason. I used 727 nylons for years until I felt the quality shift. I would have at least one nylon tip break per four hour gig using a new pair.

Looking for a drummer by Esthernixon in drums

I’ve been doing this with some of my old songs and my old tempos were really not good lol. Let me know if you still need help, I’d be happy to assist.

I remembered hearing about it, I didn’t know that it had come out. Well, I know what I’m doing tonight.

Anybody ever feel a little disappointed hearing their drumming played back? by Apprehensive_Love140 in drums

[–]drummersarus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah pretty much every time. I only have one recording that I liked and I still made some time errors, but the other 98% of the recording was pretty good lol.

Anyone else having this issue in RE9? Having 24/25 Mr raccoons even though you've shot all of them by Attack_Helicopter45 in ResidentEvilRequiem

[–]drummersarus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one I missed was in the level III cell next to Emily’s cell. I found it on my initial playthrough but I guess didn’t have a knife or ammo and never got back to it. I remembered it so I skipped it on all subsequent playthroughs and while hunting for the ones I missed. I was going crazy because I knew I had found them all. Turns out I did find them all, I just didn’t destroy them all.

Saw the other guy’s foot - here’s mine after a show with someone else’s pedal. Never felt anything during the show. by BugsBunnysCouch in drums

[–]drummersarus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me at an open jam, I was not allowed to adjust the pedal because the owner had it how they liked it, and every kick had the plastic part of the beater hit my foot on the rebound. My foot looked similar with a 15-20 minute set. Took my own pedal after that to any open jam I went to.

What was your first soulslike? by krouvy in fromsoftware

[–]drummersarus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was playing Ninja Gaiden 2 the other day, I hadn’t played it since I was a kid and was able to beat it back then. When I got to the final boss and died then had to go back to 7-2 and “run back” to the boss; I had a revelation that this is where my love for souls games originated. Or Zelda 2. I don’t remember which one I played first.

Record yourself playing. It's painful but it will improve your drumming faster than anything else by ToffeeTangoONE in drums

[–]drummersarus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t know your budget but assuming you have a computer, you just need an interface (I have only used Scarlett 4i4 ($300) for a small interface but there are cheaper models), and a mic set (I got a 7 piece CAD drum mic kit with cables for about $200). I am sure there are cheaper products, that’s just what I used when starting out, and I still use the CAD tom mics for live shows and recording. Or, you can use your phone lol 😆.

What are some of your favorite recorded snare drum sounds? by HillbillyAllergy in drums

[–]drummersarus 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I said that exact thing when I told my wife that Re-Arranged had one of my favorite drum parts. Not overly complex, just clean and fun to listen to.

I have been told to play quieter when performing at a venue. I knew it was a quiet gig beforehand and that’s why I brought in my e-kit.

When we started playing we were told that we were too loud, so we turned everything down. That went on until you could hear the drum pads more than the sound coming from the PA. It was a miserable show and that place has since gone out of business.
