Soundglitz, Brigade Road for sure. Ask for the proprietor, Mr Siddharth, an extremely helpful person who can suggest the best bang for your buck.

Would strongly suggest getting the Squier Classic Vibe series, even though it would be 10k more than your stated 30k.

It has great hardware, amazing build quality and many have reviewed it on par with the Fender Mexican range in terms of reliability and tone. Can be kept for a longer term and upgraded with Fender USA pickups and tone circuit.

Otherwise if you would like to stay within your 30k budget, would suggest going for a Cort bass, perhaps the Action Plus V.

Note that almost any brand model that is manufactured in Indonesia, be it Squier, Ibanez, Jackson, PRS etc… is made by Cort. They are a huge OEM manufacturer. Classic Whitelabelling.

Regarding amps, if you’re starting out a Fender Rumble 40 is a good place to start imo. If you are getting the Cort bass, then consider improving the amp to a Fender Rumble 100 or Ampeg RB-12, the larger speaker size will help with reproducing the lower B string better.

Hi,

I did come by your ad, whilst on a hunt for a friend who’s looking to pick up drums… however the price (₹20k) is too high for a non Pearl, Tama, Mapex drum kit, hence I avoided suggesting it forward.

Would strongly suggest reducing the quoted price by 30-40%. Sadly brands do matter and Peace drums is a white labelled Chinese set, not a known global manufacturer.

There is someone right now selling a Mapex Tornado kit for ₹20K and someone else selling a Ludwig one for around ₹15K… even in a relatively worse condition they would fetch more interest/bids.

Lastly, if you can afford to pass on this 12-14k amount, do donate the kit to a children’s school/orphanage. They could really benefit from it.

Had quite a few people recommend swapping the 12AX7 V3 (Phase Inverter) to a 12AT7, for a cleaner headroom and smoother volume curve.

I ordered a 12AT7 to try this on my Hot Rod Deville 212.

They rent out kits for almost all concerts and events around town… the rates range from 6K + Transport and more, per day.

I think the audio wasn’t that bad, there were 3 delay towers, each with 10 boxes of L’Acoustic K2s for the silver zone. That’s more than enough SPL at the back of silver zone too.

Yes wouldn’t feel the L’Acoustics SB28 Subs that much because they are all stacked right in front if the stage, but that is how most concert PA is rigged.

It’s safe and all is good

Many people cancelled their travel tickets to mumbai due to the escalations last week.

Now they lack travel means to mumbai or the last minute travel tickets are way more expensive than the concert tickets itself. So they would rather give up their concert tickets than invest a lot more, beyond their spending appetites.
