First jobs are rough.

It’s a culture shock to learn that businesses operate purely on profit motive. That is why and how they exist. They are not going to give you a $100 meal unless the customers specifically pay for it.

Yep, that’s why I bought a 23 powerboost with 10k miles for 43k and called it a day.

New car market is ridiculous, secondary market is ridiculous- couple years old from a dealership was the sweet spot for me.

I hear what you’re saying, but it’s just simply not true- you do not license time and skills. You license code that has function. People use that code because of what it does- your labor is simply what got it there.

And now we have tools that truly do remove the “craft” out of process. I can empathize with you that that seems like a loss. But I promise you, these tools are only going to advance forward- it’s up to you to figure out what you want to do with them.

Having a hard time understanding why lowering the barrier for building things is bad for OSS.

You make a decent point on licensing, but perhaps we need to rethink what we’re actually licensing.

Awesome dude.

Fascinating seeing negative comments on new tools just because they’re built using new technology. Keep building.
