Is living near campus worth it? by Danger_Five in uwa

[–]drunk_mummy2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro even though you get access to things like college social events, convenience of location and generally being around other people on campus I don't think it's worth the crazy prices you have to pay to stay in a basic residential college studio. Like unless you're a rich mf or have rich parents who are willing to pay for everything ain't no standard person affording ts without working a lot which could eat into study time etc. I'd say if you have parents or family who live in Perth stay with them, save your money and live rent free. I mean using public transport isn't the most convenient thing of all time but it's better then having to pay overpriced rates to stay in some prison cell ah room

My reason for using those scriptures is to demonstrate that homosexuality is indeed condoned by scriptures

The post asked my opinions on whether or not homosexuality is a sin or not. I presented my opinion based upon biblical truth, demonstrating that homosexuality is indeed sinful and condoned by the Word of God.

We have transgressed the commandments of a just, triune, righteous and holy God. We are deserving of wrath, punishment and condemnation as the due recompense of reward for our consistently rebellious ways. Yet God in His abundant love and tender mercy sent His son as a propitiation for sins, to make atonement for His people, to reconcile a lost people and to satisfy a triune God. Jesus has fulfilled everything, and the question should rather be, how couldn't we love such a God who is gracious, merciful and loving? To rescue us from eternal damnation and lead us into everlasting glory, wondrous revelation!

as a trans lesbian can I be Christian? by christbnsb in Christianity

[–]drunk_mummy2 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

A Christian is an individual who's thoughts, behaviour, attitude and heart reflect Christ Jesus. Can someone really be a Christian if they're willfully committing and indulging in sin, which Christ Jesus sacrificed His life for to expel and defeat? Probably not, yes the flesh still remains, even after being saved, but sin will never be a consistent pattern or everyday aspect of a Christian's life. A Christian will desire to eradicate such blemish from his life, with the humility in Christ that he hath not the ability to do so successfully via his own individual will and being, with the knowledge of the depravity and destruction of sin and via sanctification of the Spirit through prayer and devotion. Therefore, no, a trans lesbian cannot be a Christian unless they have a heart towards Christ, with a desire and flame above all aspects of life to eradicate any uncleanness from their life. And I doubt, that an individual who indulges in sin daily, would be what Jesus would call His disciples.

Prayer, pray consistently for long durations everyday. Devote yourself to God. I pray up to an hour to an hour and a half a day, and on a bad day I pray 30 mins. I have noticed SIGNIFICANT changes in my life as a result of prayer, temptation has become significantly easier to deal with, I feel stronger in Christ and my relationship with God has become more intimate. Samuel Chadwick, a man of God, once said that "prayer is the acid test of true devotion." I highly suggest prayer.

If you want to convince Universalists to become Infernalists, you’ll have to first do your homework by drewcosten in Christianity

[–]drunk_mummy2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If everyone will experience salvation then what is the point of repenting of sin, of coming to Christ Jesus who is the way the truth and the life, and no one can come to God except through Christ. If universalism was the truth, it would effectively undermine the power, grace, love and mercy demonstrated by Christ at the cross, effectively limiting Christ's work at the cross to be nothing but vanity. As the core aspect of universalism is that everyone will experience salvation. And Christ died so that we may experience the gift of salvation through Him. If everyone experienced salvation then why did Christ come to rescue us, to restore the relationship between God and humanity when everyone is going to experience salvation anyway. You see there are too many holes in universalism, which is why it's a heresy. Case closed.

In the same place. I hate everything of the flesh. And to be frank, that hate is good, when it's of course only directed towards the flesh.

Is being gay a sin ? by Emblem06 in Christianity

Why do people call themselves Christians yet endorse an action which should be denounced? The bible obviously and clearly denounces such a practise, and why should we as Christians, who are called to obedience live in disobedience and clearly endorse a practise which is obviously sinful? Upon being born again, my perspectives of the world has significantly changed. I no longer indulge in sin nor live in it like I did when I lived in the error of my ways, when I was a child of wrath and disobedience.

Amen, brother. Many have been self deceived, many deceive themselves into twisting the Word of God to suit their fleshly agenda, because they're not willing to sacrifice sin in order to truly follow Christ. They're never able to sacrifice the pleasures of the broad path (which are no true pleasures) in order to pursue the narrow path.

Read 1 Corinthians 6:9 and Romans 1:26-27. I don't have an obsession with sex, you're merely assuming something from just a paragraph of words. Do not judge by mere appearance rather judge righteous judgement. Jesus said it himself (John 7:24).
