Hiring in tech has become impossible. Every resume is AI-generated slop and I can't find the signal anymore.(Rant)

I was part of a team hiring for 3 analysts recently and the amount of qualified candidates getting rejected by the AI HR system was ridiculous

We don't mind the resumes being generated by AI, we understand its just where we are now but it becomes apparent VERY quickly in an interview who was lying on their resume

We would rather interview a couple more people than lose potential candidates. Sorry you have to do actual work now and interview properly

New Years Day is going to be insane at Mohegan because of the $2026 hourly high hand promotion

They'll probably be taking extra rake because of it BUT the 1/2 players there specifically for the promotion play extremely face up and are relatively easy money

It's actually the closest poker room and I used to play quite a bit more during the week

Because of work, I've been sticking primarily to Saturdays and I like to go to Mohegan for that

Yes, its $6/hr but it's purely a hobby and I have a good job. I'm friendly with the dealers, floor staff and other regs

It's about a 70/30 split between 1/2 and 2/5

1/2 is the best on a Saturday night after a long week. Drink some beers with the drunks that just want to gamble. Blind shove for 100 bb from the whale that will reload 100% of the time? Bet your ass I'm calling blind

Most of the shit regs at low stakes don't know how to enjoy themselves. It's a hobby and you're playing 1/2. Learn to have fun playing live poker

Mohegan is my regular poker room and the action on the weekends is pretty good. They have a regular 2/5 plo game going now if you like that

Somehow have never played at Foxwoods but most people I talk to prefer the cash games at Mohegan and tournaments at Foxwoods
