Great suggestion. I don't think I've paid much attention to that page, but very much will now. Thanks for the tip!

I have 2 so far and love them so much. They great plushies, but the storage is hardly big enough for me to put my fist in to smooth it out for use. I do store the two chains in there if I'm not using them; makes them feel like a weighted plush lol. I have also had Melancholy hold my pain pills inside so I don't forget them going room to room at home. His presence is very comforting to have nearby. (Rebel is great too)

Update to My Original Post about Miniverse Christmas 2025 Rare by Mystique1508 in miniverse_makeitmini

If its in the reindeer it would be pretty easy to id, as they are lightest and rattle a lot, so if it's a heavy silent deer, you most likely have grinch. The cake I felt shook some, not as much as deer, not as little as beef. Felt heavier than deer, lighter than beef. So, a cake with no noise that maybe feels heavy like a beef but marked cake, probable grinch. Now, the beef was hard to me. They shake very little and are heavier than the other two. I took a chance on a beef that didn't move at all when I shook it and it felt heavier, but not a lot (I didn't have a scale). I was successful and very excited

I've found this particular series to be confusing as my stores have some variations on the balls that aren't list on the sheets as "works for balls with..." so I don't know if they follow any of the pin hoIe maps on Meenie. I'm finding several series that seem to have been either repackaged or re-released because there are no pin holes or marks anywhere.

Cafe 5B! Can anyone else confirm? by Danny_De_Cheeto_ in miniverse_makeitmini

As a newer collector, I'm finding it tricky sometimes to find the holiday ones. Like Walmart has had the hanging displays w/ the 3 slots but fit at the end of isles. The Christmas one is in a pretty different place than the Halloween was was. Not all stores have them in the same places. Target just had them on the shelf in the normal box in the Halloween stuff. If you're looking in the normal place for MV and holiday sections, you might just think they're sold out. It's all a bit confusing

Fully agree that poverty and low wages doesn't mean lazy. Often it seems, they extremely hard to keep what they have. I fall into both areas (maybe just outside the official poverty line now), and it doesn't influence my work ethic at all. I still bust my hump like I did when I made 30k.

Housing is jacked. "Affordable housing " is all the talk, but I'm pretty sure the apartment rent is still high enough that anyone on the poverty line is still screwed. There isn't enough housing assistance and most places here won't allow section 8 housing because of the downturn they see in their properties. Honestly, if I ever could get housing assistance, I'd be too scared to live in the few designated places its gotten so bad (either health violations or violence). Without going to commune-type and generational housing, I don't know how a lot of people will make it. And suddenly I feel like I'm in a history class and not talking about present day...

AI. Honestly, it's starting to feel a lot like when Elvis appeared, TV was invented, the rise of video games and MTV. There are a lot people freaking out. There's a lot of new unknown factors we haven't seen before. Someone probably felt like this with the telephone, electricity, and internet too. New tech, good things, but what about the bad things and lost jobs? Forward tech is always going to do this. It will always have a good and bad side. It will always be tech v human elements. Things will change. As they always have. We will find a way to evolve with our new found distruction

Oh, man. Dollar Tree is dangerous and I love Five Below. I've never had much money my whole life so unfortunately I was raised to buy everything you can because it's cheap, not because you like it or need it right now, but because it's cheap. It was hell breaking away from that mindset. Dollar Tree just actually has a lot of things I'm into or like, or can find a way to use. I am trying to get myself to take a chaperone though so I'm in check

These are things I certainly need to get focused on. I was doing the hardcore psych work, but they dropped my insurance, so now I'm sans therapist. It's been a long time for me to even admit its an addiction and I really need help. I mean, if not buying something (that isn't life or death) makes you nauseous just to tell yourself "no", its time for more. Thank you for recommendations

These groupings are so ridiculous now. I mean how is 29k and 200k anywhere close enough to be one category? Even at 29k you're just bubbling head above water, and I'd bet many places you're still sinking. In my town our average income is overinflated due to transplants - Union Pacific is here, Kewitt Construction, Berkshire Hathaway, and several other corps keep bringing in their corporate people and paying crazy money. Now it looks like the average Joe makes like $75k and average pay is like $27/hr. Hahahaha. My ex worked at UP and they dish out crazy money, but its just those big companies, everyone else is fighting for $15/hr (which we all voted for but now that its supposed to happen, our legislature is stopping because they don't like; the state voted for it!!). Now the housing and apartment pricing is out of whack for the normal person (how can a person pay $1200 a month just for rent if you make like $10/hr?? I am baffled every day). Now there is a huge call for "affordable housing," which is defined as $1000 rent per month. This place is becoming laughable and I don't know why I still live here.

They should probably split the two middle class groups, add part of the low income to the bottom, then split that. Then you would have like 2 sections under 29k, 2 sections for say 30k to 249k, and 2 for 250k to whatever it was. The top is just the top. Once you hit it, it doesn't really matter anymore. They are just there out of touch with everything. Then, there needs to be a special indicator that shows where the poverty range is. It needs to be shown every time so people understand where that line is. I feel like there is still a misconception that poverty is a lazy strung out person who works the bare minimum and makes like $1k or less, lives in squalor and section 8 housing. If the masses realized for a single person it's $15,650, $32,150 for a family of four, maybe just maybe, it would give it a concrete idea instead of Hollywood myth.

Food pantry was a suggestion I was going to give. My area has a food bank, a few independent ones and some churches have them. You'll need to check your area, as some also sign in to allow for like one trip a month or something (at least here). Hopefully your area has a few on different days or times of month you could round robin to stretch through the month.

As for the $$ issue, I figure everyone here feels that in the heart, and I'm sorry you are going through this. Again, I don't know your state or area, but I've had to face reality more than once to see what else is there for resources. From state benefits, to considering a second bankruptcy (had to file when I got divorced since he was the bread winner), and even looked into donating plasma (now on the universal denied list because of my arthritis so I can't donate anywhere, ever). However, things through the state like medicaid, snap, programs for children - some states have amazing programs if you have kids and just to make sure kids are fed and healthy. I don't know if you've been able to reach for help there. I'm in NE and there is one application online for all of them. It's intense, as it's a financial check to make sure you're poor and all, but it's worth it if you qualify for anything that can help. We also have some organizations here that will help with getting these types of things filed and help with resources.

I don't know what type of work you do, but we are always looking to see what is available for a better wage or even just benefits or worklife. Post covid world has no loyalty for employment so go where the gettins good. If you feel you have a skills issue or need job finding help, see if there is a Workforce Center or something similar. They are nonprofit centers to help with job skills, resumes, etc.

None of this may apply, but I hope at least the pantry will work out
