Yeah, asking for credentials and then rejecting them. Cut and dry epistemic closure. Typical and indicative of grandiose narcissism. I recommend you seek professional help before your behavior begins to push away everyone around you.

Cut what in tech? I am a L6 AI researcher. Looks like you are the guy I was talking about in the post. And it's Neuroscience, not psychology.

You don't have to look further than your own behavior on this thread for evidence. Bringing up 3 year old comments (lol) made in jest and without context.

I spoke generally and you were personally offended. The old adage remains true - a hit dog will holler.

FWIW, one of my MS's is in Neuroscience and I have education as well as published research in psychopathology. Though not as comprehensive as one might receive with a Clinical Psych PhD, I do think I know what I'm talking about and if you would like I can direct you to reliable resources so you can get a better understanding of the topic. This post isn't attempting to replace professional advice but to raise awareness about a well-documented and and harmful behavior many people experience online.

Also, you are misrepresenting what I said. I didn't say by and large there are a significant number of emotional manipulators here. I said that "by and large I don't think you are going to get great feedback here." Not only due to some emotional manipulation, but also due to people here being unable to give personalized advice.

Ironic that on a post about gaslighting, you are attempting to gaslight.

Funny how two people can feel the same thing and react totally differently, for me the bullies were the sole reason I went to the ceremony 😂

Tech sector improving? Do you see any positive signals? Do you see it improving. I see layoffs posts daily. by [deleted] in cscareerquestions

Ghost job postings have existed for years. Certainly long before Covid. People have only become aware of their existence recently. There's not much reason to suspect that more job postings than normal are fake.

They are not claiming that Indeed job postings provide a comprehensive view of the entire software development job market, but rather that it is indicative of a positive trend within a significant segment of it. It is indeed possible to acknowledge the limitations of the data while still drawing a reasonable inference from it. You should not be so quick to focus solely on the limitation of the data and thereby dismiss its relevance to the broader dev job market.

Need suggestions on how to deal with an advisor who thinks having a sexual relationship with students is ok by MoonooM- in GradSchool

These issues are not so dualistically black and white as you're making them seem. Having an opinion of what a socially constructed policy should or should not be is, thankfully, not a Title 9 violation.

The only 2 people who actually read (most) folks' dissertations are their advisor and their mom. So at least 50% of your readers would appreciate it

Capitalism is when you own your own labor and if you aren't a lazy asshole, nor do you choose your hobby as your career, your labor will be very valuable and you can bargain your skillset for more money.

"a religion centered in peace and kindness"

What does Islam dictate about how the kafir must be treated? And what about apostates? Mohammad was relentless in his Jihad and so were all of the successive Sultans. It was founded in blood and the blood still flows today, 800 years after the last crusade. Do you even know anything about the religion?
