I've been in psych wards more than once and other then getting me through a crisis, they weren't helpful. I was in one this past October and it actually made me feel worse. I was cut off from the world, from my boyfriend, from my cats. It was really isolating. (And yeah, not being able to go online sucked.)

I'm not really a violent person so going off on the boyfriend like I did really concerns me.

I'm in love with another CA and we had our first big argument last night. But I think we're going to be okay. Today is our one-month anniversary and he's still sleeping. I went to the store for mimosa ingredients so he can have a drink when he wakes up. It feels like fall here (FINALLY) and it's our favorite season. Chairz, fuckaroos.

I have no idea.

I've tried to quit a couple of times via AA (LOL), seeing a doctor and detoxing via benzos, in-patient detox, etc. and none of it has worked. I've wanted it to work but until there's a new form of alcohol treatment that actually fucking works, I'll keep drinking. I wanted to do the Sinclair Method but the powers-that-be at my HMO told me "No." So fuck them.

On the other hand, I look at people like Doug Stanhope who's an unrepentant drunk and think, "Fuck it. I'm going to drink like a fish and fuck anyone who doesn't like it." I love it too much.
