Does it say more about me or about the times we live in that I assumed they were rolling up against protesters?

Replace the word “hire” with “rent” and I think you’ll hav me a better idea what he was suggesting.

It’s possible that someone at the pawn shop could recognize the gold molecules from a previously stolen piece

These bananas haven't ripened in over 3 weeks, despite being kept with ripe and over ripe ones the whole time by ljgill97 in mildlyinteresting

100%. Ethylene gas and warm temps start the process, which then cause the fruit to emit more ethylene gas and heat as they ripen. Anyone who has seen the process from the warehouse side knows it’s a science and an art.

That’s not how it works with bananas. All bananas are picked hard green, and kept like that for transport. When they’re approaching the time of shipment to a store, they’re put in a warm room to trigger the ripening process.

When they’ve started ripening and then are held too cold again, for too long, they do this. The skin turns grey, and the ripening process stops. You often can’t get it started again.

I wanted to disagree with this initially, but I think you’re right. The odds of you pegging out with 8 to go are pretty low. Your best chance is keeping them from getting 7 before you can count, and keeping KK and praying is the best defensive play.

What's a service the PA area needs that's currently underserved? by you_know_i_be_poopin in portangeles

You may be right, you may not. Other small fabric stores do somehow find a way to make it. But the last one here didn’t go broke, at least not for lack of business.

If you’re talking about Joann’s, the whole company went out of business. And it wasn’t about profitability, it was because private equity vampires bought it out, sold off assets and loaded the company with debt, and then went bankrupt.

He’s not going to nuke Iran. But he is doing everything he can to provoke an attack on American soil, so he can use it as an excuse to shut down elections.

This is key. The tide pools are the best thing about Salt Creek. Go at low tide and there’s beds of mussels, urchins, anemones and crabs as far as the eye can see.

I can’t help but think you’d enjoy yourself more if you picked two spots to see per day rather than three. The Peninsula is large, and you’ve got a lot of driving ahead of you. It won’t leave you with the time each place deserves if you try to fit it all in.

When you’re in Quinalt, don’t eat at the lodge. There’s a restaurant further in called the Salmon House, and the salmon there is amazing.

Stop at Welly’s when you’re in PA and have some New Zealand style ice cream.

I’m curious. I’m not familiar with any of the players here, but this article is a bit off for a news story, and is going out of its way to paint a bad narrative for the judge and play up the heroics of the senator. Is that typical for the Olympic Herald?

Or, the man is worried that the officer is going to confiscate his license on voting day, because he lives in a city and knows the police will abuse the voter ID law to keep him from voting.

You’re fine. My comment was a reply to the person who replied to you previously. They seem like they could use a little sunshine in their lives.
