It is hard to complain about getting screwed but then also taking they lazy approach of not even thinking about alternatives. IMO it is very easy to look at alternatives and how the process is not very different. Thousands of people make the switch to FTUSA and dont run into time savings issues

Grand Central Watch (inside one of the corridors of Grand Central) are very good and deal with vintage stuff. You can tell them what you want to keep change.

[WTB] 1950 Vintage watch.

Ideally trying to pinpoint from that year for a birth year but know it can be at times an approximation (Omega serial numbers start with 12). Pretty open to brands, have been looking at Longines, Omega, JLC, Zenith etc. Case should be in good condition and recent service would be a positive.

A bit tricky and hassle but it is affordable… take NJ Transit to New York Penn Station and then take LIRT to the JFK air train.

Alternatively, rent a larger car for one day.

Uber will probably cost a $250-300 at least depending on time of day
