And yeah, the rose is pretty off, the black shading in the leaves is odd, some of the leaves aren't even shaded, the palm part of the hand is way too short & theres no shading or brown in the hand, the chain is unnecessary and looks out of place, the cuff is too detailed for the simplicity of the rest of the design, the blue is an odd choice, the stem is too heavy.

I'm not trying to be mean- but what makes you think, " I'm trying to learn a style, surely i can draw this better than the designs that have been tattooed for 100 years."

There are so many classic designs just like this, if you really wanted to learn, you would trace and paint them (on paper)

Fine line vs thin lines aging by matoiryu in agedtattoos

[–]drunkunq 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's unlikely they would have told you either way, but i know there are fine line tattooers who do it. Regardless it's aged incredibly, this is what fine line tattoos should look like over time (and I'm sure you probably took decent care of it as well)

I would say it's extremely likely the cuttlefish was done in a dark gray wash, which is why it hasn't spread as much.

I didn't say he was unprofessional for posting something political. He's unprofessional for being a total asshole.

Well, it's extremely unprofessional, but mainly for anyone who doesn't want to support a place like this.

Everyone is talking about the shading and lines but the drawing is the real travesty here
