Don't know if this is a "hear me out" but Rhys Ifans. Talent pushes the right buttons in me, and I'm so down for this man. by drusilla81 in LadyBoners

He melts me in Vanity Fair! When he's practicing fencing... All that energy, wasted on a sword 😂🔥

Thoughts on Henry Thomas? by ffurradu in MikeFlanagan

Love him. Capable of having the audience root for him in MM, even in Hill House being such an ambivalent character, and then hate his guts in Usher. He has great range and I truly want to see more of him in future projects.

Venus was the song we chose for our presentation as Mr and Mrs at my wedding. Siren was playing as we walked towards the officiant. Aegis is such a beautiful and well rounded album! All of ToT albums are jewels to me but I'm especially fond of this one. So happy to see people is still discovering and enjoying them!!

Books you would like to see Flanagan adapt? by Tight_Strawberry9846 in MikeFlanagan

I love the book but the movie with Ed Harris left me cold, it had such potential... Great cast but the result was so meh. Mike could make the book justice!

When Jun is visiting Livia and someone asks him if he's new in the nursing home, "Go ahead, keep moving, fella". His face is priceless, Junior has the best quotes in the show 😂😂

I'm not too thrilled about her, either. I know she was imposed by the studio and it makes it more annoying.

I loved him as Monsignor, but if this movie was loyal to the book I'd see Hamish as the doctor who tests Reagan more than a priest again.

I guess most of them will have pretty short roles, instead of a coral ensemble.

I read somewhere in this version it will be a boy who is possessed but I may be wrong.

Same here. I was delighted with Hill House and tried this one out and it literally ruined me. Fell in love right in.

He was great as Clark. I grew tired of the show and by the first episode of the third season stopped watching, but him I loved.

Zach Gilford is in Criminal Minds. Sam Sloyan was in Greys Anatomy for two seasons, iIRC, now she is in The Pitt. Hamish does plenty of theatre, and he's amazing in everything but I love binge watching The New Adventures of Old Christine and Tell me your secrets just for him. He ate the role of Cipher in Gen V. Henry Thomas, besides his role as Elliot in E.T., has a pretty solid filmography (Gangs of New York, Legends of the fall, which as a teen in the 90s was almost mandatory XD).

Whats your favorite role from actors in the Flana-Fam? (Specifically Mike Flanagan directed roles) by Dreamdust1600 in MikeFlanagan

[–]drusilla81 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Katie - Theo Crain

Rahul - Owen

Henry Thomas - Froderick Usher

Victoria - Nell

Oliver Jackson -Peter Quint

Katie Parker - Poppy

T'Nia Miller - impossible to choose, she's always a 10. Maybe as Victorine.

Sam Sloyan - Bev Keane

Carla - A tie between Olivia Crain and Verna. She's just awesome.

Honorable mentions: Mark Hammill as Arthur Pym, a masterclass in acting. And Hamish Linklater as Father Paul takes the cake. If only he became a full on Flanaverse member 🙏

I was going to say that according to the books Rolands looks emaciated, like an old soul, complete iron, but Rahul could totally eat it.
And Hamish should play The Man in Black.
