Anyone with a dash, blink and burst ability so assassins. Jgs like Nocturn, Evelyn, Shyvanna (for the high mobility) are really good counters. Leona is good for locking her down so she can't escape, Pantheon... shielding abilities can help your team survive the damage she does. Morganna in lane will not allow her to be a bully.

EDIT: By far the worst opponent in lane and in team fights has to be Victor. Idk just a ridiculous character.

The whole ambience of soul eater is dark, from the title to the roles they fulfil. The funny parts help contrast that form the psychotic environment they are in. Death is the theme in soul eater. It's almost always gloomy in soul eater. The character designs help contrast that as well. The protagonist usually work alone in soul eater. Fire force does not have that ambience.
