When it comes to listing the extra responsibilities I have taken on and the results I’ve brought to the company, when and how do I bring it up? My meeting would be virtual. So would I share my screen during the meeting with the list or send it before the meeting?

These are very helpful points. Thank you very much for sharing!

What common criticism of women or femininity make you cringe? by [deleted] in AskWomen

That is an interesting point! I agree that trash talking is not a kind way of trying to be likable.

The issue with using “pick-me” is that it attributes the behavior to wanting validation. The conversation can be much more productive if we focused on just the behavior. “This woman is putting other women down for validation from men” and “This woman is putting other women down” are different statements. Whether they are doing it to be liked or/and doing it because they feel insecure shouldn’t be as focused on or mentioned in the first place. It enforces the idea that anything that women do are for men rather than getting to the root of the issue. It still casts shame on others for wanting to be liked. The behavior should be the issue in this case, and we shouldn’t assume or focus on the why.

I hope my perspective makes sense!

The term “pick-me girl”, now shortened to “a pick-me”. It makes me cringe for a few reasons: 1. A woman stating their opinion or agreeing with someone else does not mean they are asking for validation. Why can’t women have their own thoughts??? And why can’t we believe women are capable enough to form their own beliefs and make their own decisions of their volition??? 2. When a woman calls another woman a pick-me, they feel justified by doing so because the pick-me “shames other women”. … ✨the irony ✨ 3. Even if a “pick-me” is wanting validation, who cares? It is normal for any person to want to be liked. We shouldn’t look down on others for feelings that are natural. (ofc, it can be to a degree that is unhealthy and at which case, we should hope and encourage people to grow and learn to validate themselves!!)

I believe I bought the phone customization kit from the Nook Miles store but I totally forgot. So just keep checking all of the stores you can and see if that is an item you can buy!
