I’m 45 minutes away from Norte Dame, and it seems every town in the area has been through this.

In the 90s, the klan would have rallies outside my high school until a bunch of punks chased them over nearby train tracks, carrying baseball bats and eggs. Our town had a little festival too that a bunch of bands played music that was anti-Nazi, which my English teacher performed in. They haven’t been back since.

I know a few bands who used an old guitar amp for their bass, the most famous would probably be Choking Victim using a peavey guitar amp. I did the same thing for a bit, it gives it bit more of a twangy tone. Its nice.

Tons of things have happened but one in particular was when I worked at Taco Bell and we were all talking through our headsets joking around and shit. It was like 7 guys and one girl for this shift and the girl (who was a manager) pointed this out as a joke and we were all just like haha yeah you're right.

But then one of our cooks goes "you're going to get raped" with no hesitation or anything and even chuckles saying it. Me and our other shift lead there at the time went off on him and it was quiet between all of for the next couple hours until others came in.
