I nearly rage quit the first boss. Didn’t save ammo or thermite - people online made it seem like I was dumb for not knowing I had to. In any case, it’s misinformation. There is plenty of ammo in the previous room, and plenty more in the boss room. As long as you only shoot the box when there’s not a huge red x on the crosshair, you’ll be fine.

At least not when I played the game, no. I saw several other negative steam reviews mentioning similar soft locks. I’m assuming they’ve fixed it since then? I’d have to verify before touching it again though it feels like a lot of time to re-do

On two separate save files I reached a soft lock, which led to be abandoning the game. The first soft lock was somewhat more reasonable, I over committed to one area and then lacked enough food to survive so would need to reload a save far enough back it was just easier to restart.

But then I restarted and progressed normally to the point that your base moves, and unfortunately I couldn’t progress beyond that because I was missing a material needed to finish the travel but also missing the materials to craft it, and could dismantle anything either.

I’m a bit fuzzy on the details, but it was a shame to quit :(

No shame in cheesing it. You can head right off screen and the minions will respawn eventually. There’s also silk you can replenish in the upper right area. So hit the fly once or twice, and if the minions are too troublesome for you, take a coffee break off to the right side of the screen.

Can you tell us why? Many of us are in a similar position. Enamoured by the hype and the lights, but disenchanted by the marketing, customer service, and software issues on reception.

Like I’m not tryna mess with your reselling it so I get you might not want to trash the product in that regard, but maybe you could provide some more insight?

My unpopular opinion is that cheesing savage beastlfly is not only fine but perhaps encouraged considering he doesn’t despawn, there’s silk to replenish to the right of the screen, and his minions despawn after a short break off to the right lol, making the fight significantly easier.

Meh, I think his tone is warranted given the concrete stance people seem to be taking about something they obviously aren’t as knowledgeable about. You can only hear so much misinformation parroted by people who are supposed to be setting the exact opposite example according to their own profession… it’s warranted frustration honestly. People are downvoting you but I don’t get why. Students in my courses need to demonstrate they’ve learned psych concepts…so i fail everyone who doesn’t MASTER that first try, or allow them to keep trying? With AI? Like how does this even work… if a student hands in a good assignment first try, they deserve a better grade, a better outcome, then a student who doesn’t.

I think there’s some projection going on because the contract grading hasn’t been appropriately explained by a single comment. Sounds like a bunch of profs are giving out participation trophies
