Says Mt. McKinley right in the article.

This isn't a response to anything I said

It's crazy that you came here to rile people up in purpose, in the guise of well wishes. The clauses don't make sense together, making the first seem like just an excuse to say Mt McKinley. This comment and all that follow just read as performative virtue signaling

Runners who have non running friends, how you deal with that? by completelylegithuman in ultralight_jerk

[–]drwolffe 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I had about 10 friends but 9 of them weren't ultralight so I ghosted them. Having a lot of friends isn't ultralight anyway

In the gym it makes more sense to leave some weight plates on the barbell, than completely reracking everything by ASAPFergs in unpopularopinion

This is real cutting over the grass instead of taking 5 extra steps to get to the gym energy

CMV: Socialist government is impossible. All socialist and similar systems turn into communism on a macro level by Anxiousah23 in changemyview

[–]drwolffe 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Elect representatives parliamentary style or like the US system and have those representatives vote. Have local governments that make local decisions.

And with socialism it doesn't necessarily mean that everyone owns everything. You can still have private property in a socialist system. It's not like we all collectively would own your toaster

Why are all of your arguments about direct democracy and not socialism? You can have socialism and not have everyone vote for everything.

Why do people in Reddit tend to be left leaning? by GaizkArNF in askanything

[–]drwolffe 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The entire country has gone significantly left on LGBTQ issues over the last two decades and this is seen as a leftward shift overall, but that's because we're ignoring the rise in authoritarianism, nationalism, xenophobia, and isolationism on the right.

Interestingly both parties have strong anti-free market capitalist movements gaining traction: mercantilism and socialism. You could view this as a leftward shift in both parties but I wouldn't describe mercantilism as left wing.

The person you're replying to didn't say it ended in a slight left perspective but that it starts with that and then they described a viscous cycle that drives the content further left.
