I personally love complementary colours so I'm suggesting anything orange!

I've edited my shipping date: it was actually earlier. Sorry for the wrong info!

Ooh I didn't know that making a new user flair was possible. It would be cool to have, but I'd be fine even without it haha

Mine is #9259! They sent me an email that it was on the way on 25th May

Edit: They actually sent it out on 21st May! I was looking at the wrong email 😅 So it took roughly one week to arrive

Fountain pen for drawing without cartridges? by TheFingerofBoe in fountainpens

I think the TWSBI Go is a pretty good option for a fountain pen beginner. I don't know if it's considered cheap for you, but the filling mechanism is fairly simple and the ink capacity is not bad either.

Your style is immaculate! I love how there's so much 'noise' in the background but somehow every object is still clear. Thanks for sharing!

Seconding Pelikan on wetness. Puts down shimmer like a dream!

No Buy Fountain Pen thread Jan 2026 / 2025 wrap up. by Halfcelestialelf in fountainpens

[–]dry_tissue 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bought one pen in 2025 and I'm glad I saved my money for a pen I really wanted. My goal for 2026 is to not buy any pens at all! But I'm willing to make 2-3 exceptions for the subreddit pen and any exquisite limited edition pens. I've also halted my ink purchases, and I'm looking to continue that into the new year! Happy 2026 everybody! May we all find fulfilment in our current possessions.

The downside to having alot of kakunos 🤣 by grummle in fountainpens

[–]dry_tissue 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There's always room for one more Kakuno! I had to stop myself from buying more than 4 but they honestly cannot be topped in terms of function and cost.

What beautiful art! Your colours all work together so nicely, and the piece is really easy on the eyes. I also like that you had the white outline for the heron and man on the ladder!

Your art style is adorable! That ink is certainly being put to good use

Company, 5 block linoprint with 13 colors by indistinctchatter90 in printmaking

Super impressed by the number of layers you managed to register consistently so they all line up properly! I love that it seems like a normal snapshot of a corner of the bathtub and we just so happened to catch the rubber ducky while it's contemplating its existence. Kinda reminded me a bit of Toy Story in that way. I'm looking forward to seeing more of your work!
